Bed sheets are always twisted up/ cocooned. Whether it's just two king-size (microfleece) sheets or a load of twin-sized cotton sheets. Especially the cotton sheets; one load consists of several sheets (RMT in the family), and these get so tangled and twisted that they end up cocooning themselves into one big mass. Brand new dryer; load is not too large for the dryer (previous Kenmore model was smaller and had no issues with same size load); dryer is level. Samsung technician came to service unit; between tech and Samsung their answer is: the way the dryer operates/runs, and as per the manual: "May require repositioning to ensure even drying". Very frustrating to pay top $ for a new machine, and have to babysit the drying cycle.

Check your rear exhaust vent for blockage.
Your dryer has 2 heating elements.
If it gets warm at all at least one element is broken.
The operating thermostat could also be bad.
Burned/broken wire at heater terminal.
Unplug the dryer.
Remove the front panel, then the belt and drum and inspect the heater and thermostats.

This is pretty common with lighter fabrics and is easily remedied. Put several new tennis balls in with the sheets to keep them from balling up. There are commercial products that do the same thing, but tennis balls are much less expensive.

No. You will need to
buy waterbed specific sheets. They are
sized slightly differently. You can
purchase sheets at a local store near you or at many online stores. I have taken the liberty of searching a few
stores for you.
