I have an Acer Aspire 4930. It's fan heats up very quickly. I belong to such a place where there are no costomer care centers either. Can u help me regarding this???
When the CPU overheats then it will shut down (i.e. thermaloverload) and won't boot up again until it has cooled down. If this is theproblem is not fixed then the CPU will eventually fail.
A faulty fan causes the problem or the fan and heat sink assembly are cloggedwith dust.
Check the CPU fan to see if it spins freely, if not replace the fan.
If the fan and heat sink is clogged with dust the remove the dust and make surethe vents are clear and dust free. Use a small brush and can of compressed airto do this.
Sometimes this is normal. There are quite a few laptops out there where either the Power Supply or the bottom or top of the keyboard gets very hot. Unless the laptop is over heating and shutting down, then don't worry about it. You can buy a fan cooling pad that plugs into your usb ports to help keep it cool.
If it is shutting down, then it is overheating. If the fans work, then the overheating problem is that the Thermal Paste on the CPU and Heat Sink has dried up or is too thin to keep the cpu cool. This would require you to take the laptop apart to apply a fresh coat of Thermal Paste.

You have done the right things by working on some process of elimination.
try
removing the battery and the AC adapter from the laptop hold down the power button for about 40 secs then try with power.
IF this doesnt work chances are its a Motherboard failure.
hope this helps a little
