My Sunbeam Breadmaker 5891 keeps shutting after after mixing, I unplugged all other appliances and the machine shuts off prior to baking the bread. When I have tried to restart it will not. I am tried of wasting all my ingredients making loaf after loaf hoping I can use my machine. Why does it keep shutting off prior to baking? Help!

I have the same problem but with my Sunbeam 4810. I see the same problem posted in several places but no solutions. I tried to call the 1-800 # but I'm on hold so long I hang up... any help would be appreciated.

If you are feeling handy unplug your machine, turn it on one side and remove the bottom panel with a phillips head screwdriver. You may find your drive belt has come off or broken. If that is the problem you may be able to find a replacement for it from Sunbeam, or I may have one that will fit it.
It is normal. It allows the dough to fall back on the mixer blade. Often these reverse and that also gives the motor time to come to complete stop before reversing.
