The vents are nothing more than that...vents. when your dishes are drying with heat it creates steam..the steam escapes through those vents on the door, there is a certain amount of moisture left behind in those vents and when you open the door it may drip.

But it should be like a puddle of water coming from the vents, if it is, then that would indicate that there is a fair amount of water left in the unit when the drying cycle starts, meaning it isn't draining properly and when it heats that water it results in excess steam, and quite a bit of water.

The dishwasher should have two settings for drying...heat dry, and cool dry.. try selecting cool dry and see if that doesn't fix the water coming from the vents. Also, you can let the dishwasher set for a little while after the dry cycle has finished, and the water should drain back in after a short amount of time.. you can try that.

Also, when the dishwasher first goes into the drying mode, open the door and look into the bottom of the washer, see if there is excess water in the bottom of it..there should be none, if the is a puddle, then whoever installed it needs to come and fix it because it isn't draining right.

Good Luck

Door gasket or sealOver time, door gaskets and seals harden and lose their ability to seal properly. You can't repair the seals. You need to replace them if they've begun to leak.

How do I open the door of the maytag dishwasher MDB4949SDH model. The screen says clean but the door won't open

That's kinda odd but try turning off the power to it. Then try to open door. If it still won't open then put power back on and try again. Sometimes computers get confused.

Miele g665 leaking water from turbothermic vent

I had this happen too. There is a rubber venting tube which runs from the vent on the door to the rinse/powder release pods. This clogs up and the water then comes out when the door opens. If you take off the front panel of the machine (screws are on the sides) it is easy to take off and clean out by running hot water through it, also clean out the line through the release pods .. problem should be solved.

Dishes not coming out clean

Hello

There are some things you can try, however, if your Maytag dishwasher is not getting your dishes as clean as you would like. Maytag recommends several processes for fixing this issue with your dishwasher.

Do not run your Maytag dishwasher while hot water is being used in other parts of your home, such as washing clothes or showering. Hot water is needed for your Maytag dishwasher to properly clean dishes.

Run water in the sink in your kitchen until it gets very hot. Then, turn on your Maytag dishwasher. This will ensure that the water cleaning your dishes is the hottest possible temperature.

Clean your Maytag dishwasher to improve the cleaning results for dishes. Run your dishwasher on a short wash cycle and wait for it to fill up with water. Stop the cycle and add about 1/3 of a cup of rust remover to the dishwasher and finish the cycle. Run your Maytag dishwasher through one normal cycle with regular detergent to finish the cleaning process.

Check your detergent. Old detergent or those that have been exposed to moisture can be clumpy. This detergent will not clean your dishes as well when loaded into your Maytag dishwasher. Purchase fresh detergent.

Use extra detergent when washing dishes that have a lot of built-up grease or food particles. The extra amount of detergent is needed to get your dishes clean. Choose a long cleaning cycle to clean these dishes.

Fill your Maytag dishwasher properly. Dishes should not be stacked on top of each other or excessively crammed into your dishwasher. This will keep the dishwasher from adequately cleaning all areas of your dishes and from rinsing them thoroughly.

When the cycle has finished and I open the door to unload the dishes the dishes ar edry but the is water running down the inside.

The solenoid valve connected to your inlet requires cleaning. If you can access it it take it out and clean the vents. Switch off power. Note down the connections before you disconnect the leads. Mostly it is push in/ out terminals.

Have a brand new maytag dishwasher. When the cycle is finished the clean light stays on and I have to push buttons to clear is this normal?

If you open the door after the cycle, does it clear the display? Mine is a different maytag model, and when it's done it shows the display as clean. The display will go blank when I open the door manually... let me know if that helps.

Water over flow on a1267302ew DWU9200ABX Maytag dishwasher

There are three common causes for water leaking from a dishwasher door or float.

1. A problem with the wash system. Check the wash arms for cracks and or splits in the underside that can cause water to jet down and out the front of the unit. Check all water supply tubing in the unit as this can cause the same problem.

2. It is not uncommon for a water inlet valve to fail open and allow too much water into the tank causing a leak.

3. Over sudsing can cause a leak. Make sure fresh dishwasher detergent is used in moderation.

Maytag Dishwasher Will Not Rinse

You are probably not getting enough water into the machine. Replace water inlet valve (solenoid valve) and this should solve the problem.

Water Leak at vent area in door...

On this model the vent is open and shut by a wax motor. The vent should be closed tight during the entire wash cycle and the first 6 minutes of the drying cycle. Check the operation, make sure there is not a bunch of gunk restricting it. If you are handy with a meter check the resistance of the motor. It should read approx. 2100ohms. Another reason for leaking at the base is oversudzing. Also check the upper spray arm for cracks or splits shooting water into the vent area. Catriver...post back.
