On the front pannel there are three vents when its finished cleaning I open the door and water comes out of the vents on my new harwood floors. Any suggestions. Thanks in advance
The vents are nothing more than that...vents. when your dishes are drying with heat it creates steam..the steam escapes through those vents on the door, there is a certain amount of moisture left behind in those vents and when you open the door it may drip.
But it should be like a puddle of water coming from the vents, if it is, then that would indicate that there is a fair amount of water left in the unit when the drying cycle starts, meaning it isn't draining properly and when it heats that water it results in excess steam, and quite a bit of water.
The dishwasher should have two settings for drying...heat dry, and cool dry.. try selecting cool dry and see if that doesn't fix the water coming from the vents. Also, you can let the dishwasher set for a little while after the dry cycle has finished, and the water should drain back in after a short amount of time.. you can try that.
Also, when the dishwasher first goes into the drying mode, open the door and look into the bottom of the washer, see if there is excess water in the bottom of it..there should be none, if the is a puddle, then whoever installed it needs to come and fix it because it isn't draining right.
Good Luck
Door gasket or sealOver time, door gaskets and seals harden and lose their ability to seal properly. You can't repair the seals. You need to replace them if they've begun to leak.
