You sure can. Start w/ the Comcast modem as long as it is NOT a USB type and hooks using a CAT-5 cable (regular network cable). Hook the comcast modem to the WAN port of the wireless router. On the back of the wireless router use the normal 1-4 extra LAN ports to hook other computers or the SD208 switch to it and other computers from there.
Word of advise if using Wireless Router, be sure to read manual and set a KEY for your network to secure it from unwanted outside use.
Are you trying to install the router. You can do it manually without the CD. Make sure that your computer is able to go online through the modem. If your computer is able to go online through the modem Then you need to connect the computer to the router ad the modem to the router. open the set up page of the router and change the settings of the router according to the ISP. Click Here for step by step by instructions

OK, if I understand:
telephone----DSL Modem--di 524--computer.
That is what you are supposed to do.
Has any configuration of these devices ever had any connectivity?
1. Is the DSL modem in "Bridge Mode"? That is the first thing I'd check.
2. Are you using the right wires and ports? There may be a DCE-DTE problem. Be sure you have used the wire that came with the DSL modem to hook it to the internet port on the DI-524.
3. What is the state of all the various lights? Do they show that you have valid connections?
4. Most of these devices can be configured with a browser. When you browse them, what do you see?
5. What is windows telling you?
Ok if you have DSL this router will NOT connect via PPPoE so no user name or passwords for dsl. But if you have a cable modem just plug the network cord from your cable modem into the WAN port on router... then plug the computers into the 1-4 ports on the router.. you might need to reset your Cable/Dsl modem after everythings hooked up.
Plug your cable line into your modem, make sure it's tight, but don't use a tool. Next plug the ethernet line from the modem to your PC ethernet port. Then plug in your power to the modem. Allow your modem to sync. Don't use the USB line at all. Do not even hook it up unless your computer doesn't have a working ethernet line. Don't run the disk either, it will only install the modem driver that is only used if you use USB.
If you have issues connecting after that, you may have to go into your ethernet adapter settings and make sure that it is using DHCP. DSL usually uses a different setting (PPP I think) and you will not be able to connect.
The error 680 means There is no dial tone.
The modem is not detecting a dial tone
There are many possible causes of a No Dial Tone Error.
1.Check cable is correctly inserted into back of modem and phone socket
2.Check properties of connection, make sure correct modem is being used
3.Disable "wait for dialtone before dialing" in My Computer > Dial Up Networking > Properties of Connectoid > Configure > Connection > remove checkmark under call preferences
4.Try removing fax machines or other devices connected to the line
5.Make sure no one is using the telephone when trying to connect
