It worked the first time I plugged it into my cigarette lighter jack, with the lights and everything. So I unplugged it, the second time I plugged the next day it did not power on. None of the power indicators lit up. So I am assuming that the product is not receiving power. I have checked my cigarette lighter and it is properly working. I have also tried plugging the device into another cigarette lighter jack/thing that I knew was working and it still didn't light/power on. I also tried looking at the fuse to see if I might have accidentally blown it, (I don't know how I would have done that since I only unplugged it once but you never know) with the correct fuse, and it still did not power on. What do you think might be the problem?
There is a small power button at the base of the device. No offense, but are you sure this is still pushed in to the "on" position?
Also, I have the same device, but I did blow my fuse. However, I lost it and cannot remember the number on the fuse. Would you be willing to post the fuse replacement part number for me?

It could be any of a number of things, but the first 2 guesses I am going to make are:
1) The contacts in the cigarette lighter jack in the tractor are corroded; or
2) the wires that power the cigarette lighter jack in the tractor are too small of a gauge to provide enough current flow without a voltage drop. This one can be tested by popping the cigarette lighter jack out of the dashboard while still wired (carefully, you don't want to cause a short-circuit), and then plugging in the inverter and measuring the voltage with a multimeter going INTO the lighter jack. It should be at least 11.5, preferably 12, Volts. Test both before and after the inverter is plugged in. If the after reading drops too much, then you know you need a bigger gauge wire feeding the lighter jack.
The lighter in a Chevy Lumina can get lost easily if you routinely pull it from the socket to plug in electronic devices like GPS systems, cell phone chargers and laptops. If so, you need to replace it.
ok you are probably correct to think that you overloaded the plug and burned it out. I have seen decent replacement plugs at auto parts stores for about $10-15. Its a bit of a chore to remove some of the dash trim in that area but it can be done with some patients
I had a similar problem I thought it wasn't the fuse because I had only checked one but there are two cigarette fuses. Also you can replace the whole cigarette lighter if it is getting power to it. If it isn't there might be a bad wire leading to it. Get a test light to see if it's getting power through the fuses hole.
