The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa.

Please ensure the drives are installed properly. You should be having these in the installation kit, that comes bundled with the camera. Then try downloading the images

Do you have a USB card reader? Just take the card from the camera, pop into the reader, and you can transfer your photos.
No drivers required unless using Windows 98 or earlier.
Also, the model is wrong, do you mean TZ5? You should be able download software for the camera from www.panasonic.com

Hi,
I have the same camera but its lens zoom assembly is broken and now does 'nt work. However, I never needed any cd to down load from sd card to either Laptop or Tv. Lap top has the sd card slot failing which you could use an sd card adapter(can give it to you free if you are in delhi) with usb connector to connect to your computer which may help in downloading.Alternatively, a a usb cable connector from camera to computer should also do.All the [email protected] [email protected]
