Coffe maker stopped working. Screen is displaying (ERR2) What does this mean and how can it be fixed?
Lost the manual.
The manual s available online here http://www.kitchenaid.com/assets/pdfs/product/ZUSECARE/P05032002.pdf
Err2 is a failed heating element. There is no fix or replacement parts sold. I was lucky I had a receipt, even out of the year warranty they(KitchenAid) are still replacing it.
I had the same problem. The manual says to clean the maker which I did. The E2 still came on after four cups. I emailed Kitchenaid customer service and they sent a replacement coffee maker. Now the replacement coffee maker leaks when I try to make a full pot.

I have the exact same problem, this coffee maker stopped working and displays a err 2 message. I also have lost the manual. This coffee maker is approximately 1 year old. Got for Christmas 2007. Need Help?
I have the same problem with err 2. Do I have to buy a new coffee maker? It is only 1 year old and very disappointing. I think you should send me a new maker. my e mail [email protected]

Please let me hear from you at Kitchen Aid. Sally Seubel
I replaced my Mr Coffee (10 yrs old and working well) with this maker.
I have the same problem. You would think that by the amount of money we paid for the unit, it would actually be quality instead of a piece of ****! But...look on the bottom, "Made in India". Only buy "Made in Canada" "Made in the USA". I'm going to from now on.
I had the same problem. I called them and they replaced the coffee maker. The replacement constantly leaked when brewing and this morning gave me an err 4 message. I called the company and they will only reimburse me $99.00 rather than the $129.99 I paid. DO NOT BUY KITCHEN AID PRODUCTS they should not be selling this model anymore and should be reimbursing the full amount!
