A95 LCD My A95 LCD is displaying a pinkish/purplish lineS which disappear on focusing. After taking the picture and displaying it a slim purple line on the top of the LCD?

    I do have a same problem and I sent it to Canon Repair centre UK - But they got back to me saying its not a faulty CCD but Shutter problem. I am a big fan of canon (so far) (used 4 still and 1 dSLR and was about to buy 40d...but now a big "?"). Even I thought I do have CCD problem too...now Canon is asking 150 GBP to reapair !!

The pictures are purple?

There more than likely a problem with the ccd, and Canon will fix it for free paying for both ways to and from the repair facility.

Purple Screen

If it is only 2 months old,then you still have warranty.
A purple lcd, viewfinder and photo is a 100% CCD failure.
If out of warranty, not worth the repair.

CANON POWERSHOT A95

Obviously it's a mass Canon A95 issue, it's the same as "pink blur LCD" question which has around 10 people with the same problem, and there's also "purple LCD line" question which refers to the same. Just this website has around 20 of us who posted in August. Unfortunately not a single reply.
