Vauxhall zafira towbar wiring diagram.

Had a towbar fitted to a new 08 plate zafira but now need to connect the grey socket any ideas where i can get a wiring diagram from so that i know which wires from the car to connect to the towbar?

brought car with tow bar fitted,when connected trailer ,noticed the wiring had not been connected up,its wired to the outter plug, but not to the lights etc.

What make of towbar wiring kit was fitted ? You can get a Whitter grey (S) fitting kit but this connects to their own black (N) wiring kit I would think any supplier of the N wiring should be able to supply a S kit.

i have just put a towbar on my 59 plate zafira its is a vauhall one ,at the end of the wires that go in to the car is a black box witch the wireing is plugged in to, but on the other side of the black box there is a place were a nother plug goes in to but a cannot find any wires in the car behind the lights that goes to it, can anybody help, please.

Hi I got a Vauxhall zafira 08 plate emissions light is on I put it in gear it just won't pull away my light still on any ideas what this could be?

egr is getting blocked
take it to high way for a run. lower gear
high rev to clear

I have a 2012 Hyundai ix35& have fitted a towbar wiring loom.

take it to an accredited auto electrician to have the reverse sensor disconnected when the trailer is connected as the sensors are seeing the trailer when reversing and that is why they are beeping

Where is the towbar conection on my vauxhall zafera 60 reg

it aint got one.....you need to follow the instructions from the towbar maker to splice into the existing wiring,and if you screw it up vauxhall will have NOTHING to do with the car EVER AGAIN.......(ASK A DEALER) YOU WILL LOSE YOUR WARRANTY FOR EVER IF VAUXHALL DONT FIT THEIR OWN........YOUR CHOICE..

Cant find the towbar electrics plugs for x-type

I assume that the towbar didn't come with a proper wiring kit as, unfortunately there is not a specific connector for the towbar wiring on the x-type, the proper Vehicle Specific Kit plugs into the rear light. There is a power connector with three pins on the left and a grey reverse sensor cut out connector also on the left. but you will either need to use a Vehicle Specific Wiring kit (about £175) or use a bypass relay system.

I need instructions on how to fit the electrics to a vauxhall astra estate 2002 towbar,i have had to put other car make in boxes as it does not show astra estate

You can wire directly into the loom behind the left hand light unit.
The colours are L/H Indicator = Black White, R/H Indicator = Black/Green, Fog = Black/Blue, Brake = Black/Yellow, L/H Tail = Grey/Black, R/H Tail = Grey/Red, and Earth to be bolted to earth point here to.

Tow bar trailer socket wiring connection point to car wiring?

The connectors for towing wire harnesses on foresters are generally on the passenger side, below the rear taillight inside the cargo space. some require pulling up the foam block that is between the spare tire compartment and the taillight. Check where you replace the tailights from inside the car, if there isn't a matching connector hanging out there, check around the spare tire compartment, see if you can remove the carpeted foam block next to the compartment and find the plug under there.

Tow bar electics

Hi, I don't know whether you have sorted this or not but you MUST NOT connect directly to the cars lighting system, it will assume that there is an overload and switch the circuits off. You must use a bypass relay system of some sort, or preferably a vehicle specific wiring kit which will either plug directly into the REC (fuse box) in the left rear cubby hole in the boot or if you don't have the REC then a different wiring kit plugs into the lamps and has a towing interface with it. If you are not sure what you are doing then best contact your local towbar specialist.

The best place to connect the wiring is behind the left trim in the boot, there is a grey socket which has all that you need except the fog which can be located in the wiring loom to the left light unit.

Fitting a towbar for a caravan with 13pin europlug

black socket, black 7 core wire
pin 1 yellow left indicator
pin 2 blue, rear fog light
pin 3 white earth
pin 4 green right indicator
pin 5 brown right side/tail light
pin 6 red brake lights
pin 7 black left side/tail light

Grey socket grey 7 core wiring
pin 1 yellow, reverse
pin 2 blue, supplementary feed (ignition)
pin 3 white, earth
pin 4 green live feed (battery +)
pin 5 brown not connected
pin 6 red supplementary feed (ignition)
Pin 7 black earth

On the discovery there is a purpose made plug behind the panel on the drivers side rear, behind the rear lamp
i think the relay you have bought is for lamp failure you just need a normal 4 pin 30 amp relay.
