I installed Windows Live Mail in my new Vaio laptop so I would manage my gmail account using Live Mail and when I condigured it I set it up to request my password to connect but I have forgotten the password and cannot connect... I tried uninstalling Live Mail and reinstalling it and of course it still asks for my passwod... does anyone know how to recover a forgotten Windows Live Mail password? Is it possible?

If you forgot your Windows Live Mail password you can reset it. To reset password of your Windows Live Mail account you have to enter security question which was answered when your account was created. The another option is by having the system send a confirmation email to your email account.

·Now enter your new password in the box labeled "Type New Password," then enter it again.
·Click "Continue" to save your new password and to log in to your Windows Live Mail account.

I assume you created a windows account while logging in for the first time. (Something like [email protected]) and you pc was connected to internet at that time. If so, you can go mail.live.com on another computer and try recovering your password.
Re-installation of windows is last option but you'll probably lose all data on your device.

Hi Abbie. You need to change your password with your email provider. If you have a Hotmail, Live, Outlook password, you need to change it through Microsoft - just try to log in and click 'forgotten password' and follow the instructions. The same if its a 'google mail, or gmail;, you need to do it through Google. You don't say if you are using Windows Live MAIL, if so its pretty straight forward to change the password, but please respond and ill talk you though it. Hope this helps
You can use Windows Password Reset to create a new reset disk to reset vista password.
The use method is following. Tip1:Download Windows Password Reset and install it on other unlocked computer. Tip2:Burn Windows Password Reset to CD/DVD or USB. Tip3:Insert newly created CD/DVD or USB to your computer which you forgot its password and reboot it,and follow the instruction that follows.
