RED FAULT ON - No contact with network.
OFF- Normal.
SLOW BLINK - Loss of communication with the panel (ECP fault).
FAST BLINK - No network contact AND loss of communication with the panel.

YELLOW MESSAGE ON - Message transmission pending.
QUICK PERIODIC BLINK - Normal
FAST BLINK - Message waiting for network ACK.
SLOW BLINK - In unison with green LED - Registration in progress.

What make and model phone? The new call light, or the new message light? If the latter then you have unheard messages on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company. Refix the RAM.

The light may be a "new call indication" or "message waiting" indication if you have voicemail service from the phone company. If you clear the caller id log or clear the voice message the light should go out. BUT, it will keep coming back on when a new call arrives! I have a similar phone and I just put a piece of tape that matches the color of the phone over the light.
