Our organization has a SB560, never installed it (no software) nor cables. Literally, just the Smart Board.Can someone enlighten us?

I will try a new main board first.

The Tcon board only controls the picture on the screen. nothing else. The main board has the extra circuits to make it a smart tv. Get a main board for the smart tv and your problems will go away.

Ensure you have SMART Product Drivers installed through the Education Software Installer and that they are running on the MacBook Pro. Select SMART Board Tools to open SMART's Control Panel and launch Connection Wizard to connect by USB or Serial cable. Confirm your computer is compatible for the latest release of SMART Product Drivers and upgrade using the Education Software Installer.
Disconnect and then reconnect the SMART Board from your computer, and reorient the SMART Board. If the issue persists contact SMART Customer Support for further assistance using SMART Board Diagnostics.

You may download and run Education Software Installer. Select SMART Product Drivers (version 10.8) for installation. Optionally, you may also upgrade activated installations or trial versions of other SMART software.

When someone asks me a question like this, I get shivers up and down my back for I worry about the possible personal safety risks the questioner is either likely or prepared to put themselves to.

Look, let's be realistic, if you don't understand what a fuse looks like, you are not going to be given a carte blanche run down of what to do from this Technician of 45 years experience. You simply would not be allowed into my workshop.

If you want to satisfy your curiosity, get the Technician you call in to check your organ out to show it to you. That way you will enlightened.........and remain SAFE from possible electrocution.

Make no mistake about it, 240 volts AC 50 Hertz is LETHAL !

Sounds like a grounding issue. Check to see if there are nylon washers on the mounting screws at the bottom. You have to remove the pen tray first. If they are there, contact your reseller. You might have a defective board.

Usually you can down load the driver/photo smart software you need. Go to your provider web page and see if they have it for a free download. Also when you put pictures on a CD at a store, those CD come with photo smart/share software that you can use. If you have internet access, you can send the pictures to email, then open your email and save the pictures in the computer.
