You cannot fix this

Emerson website maybe, but I doubt you will have any luck, these are all imports from China with the Emerson name on them.

You haven't specified nothing about your Emerson Smartset Clock Radio. Nothing is there about its model number. Yet I posts this solution before you assuming that yours' is a CKS3528 Emerson Clock radio.

There is a long life lithium battery installed in this clock radio when you buy it.

This battery can maintain the time and alarm settings for 3 to 5 years, or even

longer, so there is no need to pay for a new 9-volt battery every 6 months, as
is recommended in other clock radios with normal battery back up.
But if this lithium battery has gone down [ in terms of voltage]; the display 'L" will be there. It means that, it is time to replace this backup battery. It will be of disc type, usually used as bios setting storage, used in computers. OK.

Directions for Resetting the Daylight Savings Time (DST) Start & End Dates on the Emerson Research Smartset Dual Alarm Clock Radio (cks5055s):

• This should work for all Smartsets, but I cannot make the guarantee (and no, I don't have any other directions, sorry)!
• Adjusting the DST Start Date on an Emerson Research Smartset:
  1. Depress & hold the MONTH/DATE and the ALARM1 buttons (at the same time). After 3 seconds the display will show the DST 'start' month, week, and date. It should be alternately showing "4 F" (April and first week week) and "4. 1".
  2. While still holding the MONT/DATE and the ALARM1 buttons, press the DOWN (or "-") button 3 times, until the display is showing "3" (March) and the week as "F2". It should alternately flash "3 F2" and "3. 11".
  3. After this is set, the clock should "automatically" reset itself
• Adjusting the DST End Date on an Emerson Research Smartset:
  1. Depress & hold the MONTH/DATE and the ALARM2 buttons (at the same time). After 3 seconds the display will show the DST 'end' month, week, and date. It should be alternately showing "10 L" (October and last week week) and "10. 28".
  2. While still holding the MONT/DATE and the ALARM1 buttons, press the UP (or "+") button 1 time, until the display is showing "11" (November) and the week as "F". It should alternately flash "11 F" and "11. 4".
  3. After this is set, the clock should "automatically" reset itself

One thing to note, if you ever have to change the lithium backup battery for the Smartset clocks, it will revert back to it's factory defaults and you'll have to go through his all over again.

If Not I hope You contacted the Emerson Customer Support and told them about the problem you are having with projection display malfunction. I hope they were be able to help you with the problem. if you have not already done any of the above, The contact Telephone number for the Emerson customer support is 1-800-909-1240 between the hours of 8am-4:30pm CT. You will need to have a pdf reader and writer to read and make a copy of the owners manual. Find the make and model number of Your Clock/Radio and open the manual. You will find all the instructions for setting the alarm. If you are still having problems with setting the alarm.
