Ion turntable speed problems

I have an Ion Turntable that has two speeds, 33 and 45 rpm.  I have everything working perfectly except that the speeds are way too fast.  33 spins like 45 and 45 spins like 72.  Anyone know how to adjust the speed on these things?

Hey boy, I had exactly the same problem, but checking the turntable I noticed that the preinstalled rubber drive belt was mounted a little bit over the head of the spindle... I simply put the belt in its place and that´s all.

Why is turntable too slow?

If it's belt drive, the rubber drive belt may be slipping (look inside and see if you can detect slippage).....or if it's gear driven or direct drive.....I'd just let it run for an hour or so and see if it speeds up.

If not, and it's valuable, take it to a repair shop. If it's cheap....scrap it!

Grundig 4400 / Audio Techinca T4P Turntable spins at 35 RPM instead of 33 RPM

I think you mean 45 rpm?
It sounds like you have got the belt in the wrong position. Try adjusting the position of the belt by experiment. Or you could look up the correct way to set up the belt.

What's the correct way to use the strobe light to set turntable speed?

The turntable may have a pattern on the edge of the turntable. If not you need a turntable strobe disk that you place on the turntable like a record. The pattern on the disk or on the edge of the turntable will be marked for 50 Hz or 60 Hz frequency.
The strobe marks on the disk or on the turntable are for 33 RPM and 45 RPM and for both 50 & 60 Hz mains frequency.
To adjust the turntable for the correct RPM, turn on the strobe light and the turntable set it to 33 RPM and shine the strobe light on these marks and adjust the speed setting until the 33 RPM marks appear steady and not moving. You may want to check it for 45 RPM as well.
Make sure you use the correct mains frequency marks ie. the 50 or 60 Hz that your electricity system uses.

Akai Ap-003 belt drive turntable pitch problem

Hi!
Make shure that is a 50Hz turntable. If you connect a 60 Hz turntable in a 50 Hz system, the result is aprox 28 RPM in the 33 RPM position/

My USB Turntable changes speed, at the end of a 33 RPM record

Get yourself a new turntable. ION units are very poorly made, and the company does NOT provide any sort of after market support. Once this breaks, you cannot fix. The company does not provide any parts or support for their products.

It's meant to break, and yours just broke. More than likely the IC (Integrated Circuit) that controls the 33/45 function has been damaged - you cannot get this part.

Sorry, couldn't be of much more help.

LP audio recording seems to be at the wrong speed

1- The turntable is set to 45 rpm and the album is recorded at 33 rpm. Press the 33 rpm button the red light should come on turn the and be fine.

or

2- This turn table has a fast record mode where you can record a 33 rpm LP faster by spinning it at 45 rpm. If you are trying to use this mode you will have to make a software setting to tell the TTUSB10 digital converter program what mode you want to run.
