Remove battery. Install back. Hold down power and volume down button until it starts, immediately release the power button and it should go to reset screen. use volume button to scroll down to factory reset. select with power button.
Try this on a different USB port, and if this does not work, try a different computer. If this does not work, go right click computer or my computer in the start menu and press manage. Look for "Device manager" and find the mouse. Right click this mouse and see if updates can be installed. If nothing happens, look online for the model of the mouse for drivers.
This happened to me before. What I did was that I found the little reset button and pressed it and I then turned the player back on and It worked normally again. Hope this helps P.S: The scroll buttons may be broken.
