How do i take apart my baby's booster chair to clean it

My daughter's high chair is a mess and is really hard to clean in the small spaces and I would like to take it apart to soak and clean it. How do I get all the pieces separate? I've tried taking out some screws but so far nothing will come apart...

The removeable eating tray should be dishwasher safe, making it the easiest way to clean & sterilize the most important portion of the chair...the place where the food goes first and little hands love to mix it up :). As for the remaining sections of the chair, although the base and back do not appear to be designed to separate without possibly damaging and/or disabling the seat permanantly even to facilitate cleaning,

Although the cover/seat padding is removable and easily cleaned with your choice of cleaning product, that also disinfects without damaging the material or leaving behind residue that might be harmful to your little one...leaving only the base and back of the seat left to sanitize. At this point, I find that sometimes the easiest, even old fashioned approach works best. For extreme cases, it might just be best to toss out the one you've got and purchase a new one that allows for more flexiilityas your child Don't be afraid to take the bare seat ou

What age are high chairs for?

The manufacturers say from 6-24 months. Babies will be more comfortable in their high chairs when they can support their heads better. Smaller babies may need a booster to help them feel more supported.

Where can I buy a mess mat to go under a high chair that isn't disposable?

I bought a nice one from Walmart for only $15. It wipes clean really easily, although it's quite bulky if you plan to take it with you on outings. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Prince-Lionheart-Multi-Purpose-Catch-All-Mat/15908245

What are the advantages of wood high chairs?

Wooden high chairs are often more sturdy than plastic ones. They also don't break as easily. It's really hard for even a very destructive child to do much damage to a thick-legged wooden high chair.
I also think wooden high chairs just look so much nicer than the plastic ones and you don't' stick out against the decor of your kitchen.

I have a 6 months baby, should I get a high chair or a booster?

: I recommend getting ahigh chair for babies in this age. Boosters will not provide the body sidesupport a baby needs. When your baby is sitting and stable (when about 1.5-2Years, than it is safer to try a booster.

We have been looking for a space saver forever, finally found a really nice one. Problem is when the shoulder straps were disassembled and then reassembled by the previous owner they got pretty fouled up....

You could go to a local Babies 'R' Us or Children's resale store and take picture on your phone of how they all fit together. I have one but removed (and lost) the straps since my boys wouldn't sit in it without screaming.

I did also find this .pdf of the original instructions on the company website. http://service.mattel.com/instruction_sheets/J5933g-0720.pdf
It may help you out.

Hope this helps! Don't forget to rate.

How do you turn the high chair into booster seat?

I went to the site for this product, and from what I can see from the pictures posted there,
1. You keep the base of the seat strapped into the kitchen chair,
2. You remove the cloth/padded liner that you would use for a baby,
3. You adjust the angle of the inner seat so the toddler will be sitting in an upright position, and
4. You remove the tray and push the chair up to the table.
This should make the high chair the right height so the toddler can eat from a dish placed on the table.

I hope this helped you!gwings.jpg
