Onkyo tx sr606 presents "No signal" when connecting Bluray Sony bdp s360 to samsung 46d6530 smart tv - please help !

Ive had a Onkyo tx sr606 for 3 years and have recently upgraded my TV to an LED samsung 46d6530 smart tv but the onkyo now presents "No signal" when connecting Bluray Sony bdp s360 to samsung 46d6530. If I connect the Sony bdps360/Onkyo to an alternative TV (old LCD) all works okay, if I connect the bdp s360 directly to the 46d6530 it works okay. Am using hdmi 1.3b cables throughout. Ive tried all the combination of settings yet nothing seems to work - am gutted, any suggestions would be much appreciated !

Could well be the quality of your cables. if you have high end cables the consult a service agent. if you have the cables that came with the products, go and get some better ones.

try checking the input assignment section and go to Component Video Input. Make sure DVD and CBL/SAT has" -----" on them to prevent conflict. Hope this helps. ^_^

SOURCE: new home theater setup- no signal at tv using onkyo tx=sr605

This might somewhat help. Today I went back .. I went HDMI out of the Cable box and DVD player into 2 of the TVs HDMI ins. The digital audio out from each, straight to the receiver and things are working ok. All speakers are working OK. Sound isnt as loud or crisp but unfortunately I found no other solution.

SOURCE: Onkyo TX-SR606 getting no sound from HDMI sources

Not sure if this is your fix, but I had what I thought was the same problem. I played with my Onkyo quite a bit ensuring the correct assignments for HDMI, audio and all that stuff. Turns out I neglected to make sure the output devices were properly assigned. Many devices aren't default to output sound over HDMI. I changed the audio out settings on the cable box to HDMI and suddenly the Onkyo worked great. I know, I'm an idiot for not checking that in the first place, but maybe someone out there is having the same trouble as well.

SOURCE: I cannot get video signal from my Samsung p1590

I think this one is for the Onkyo wizards:

I would write them via email here:

However I did find this 2 page hookup manual with nice notes at link listed below that may help you solve the mystery:

(seems you may have to assign the digital input)

Assigning the Digital Input
If there’s no sound, you’ll need to assign the digital inputs as
necessary using the setup menus on the TX-SR606’s display.
If you connect your DVD player to the AV receiver’s COAXIAL 1
DIGITAL IN, and your cable/satellite receiver to the COAXIAL 2
DIGITAL IN, as shown, it’s not necessary to assign the digital input.
The onscreen setup menus appear only on a TV that is
connected to the HDMI OUT. If your TV is connected to the composite video or S-Video MONITOR OUT, or the
COMPONENT VIDEO OUT, use the TX-SR606’s display when changing settings.

No sound from new sony uhd tv on the Onkyo sr606 receiver when watching smart content like netflix.

Hi AB, best way to accomplish this would be to go from the TV's audio output to any open audio input on the 606 and just be sure that you assign the source to the input. If you require further assistance please feel free to give us a call at 800-229-1687, also note that we offer a trade in program if you are looking to upgrade to a newer receiver, please email me your current units serial number and I will advise if it qualifies for the program. You can email me at [email protected], Thanks, JT

I have onkyo receiver model tx-sr606. I just bought samsung bluray player model BD-C6500. I tried all remote codes from the receiver manuall but nono worked. Could u please tell me the remote code for...

I have heard several complaints about this problem. Unfortunately, none of those codes work for the blu-ray player. I also ask Samsung Techs product support, and was told the TV remote cannot be programmed to run the blu-ray.

Just contact with the service in your zone and buy new one, the price really is very short and solve the problem so fast. I suggest contact directly with the Samsung Support.

I'm sorry sendn more details about this, but hope helps.

Onkyo TX-SR606 takes up to 30 minutes to display 1080p

Please don't rate me for this. Onkyo has been having voltage problems with their HDMI boards in several models. Yours is one of them. They first instructed techs to replace some capacitors, then add some capaictors to repair the voltage problems. Now they want us to replace the HDMI boards but I have yet to receive any (on back-order) Sorry for the bad news.

I just hooked up a sony blue ray to Samsung HD TV and it worked initially and now the tv does not get a signal from Blue ray model BDP-S360

Please unplug the Cable from the Blu-ray Player to the TV.
Then, press and hold the STOP button on the Blu-ray Player for more than 10 seconds.
Then, connect the cable from the Blu-ray Player to the TV and check whether it helps.

Unsure of audio setting using Onkyo TX-SR606 connected to PS3

The PS3 should default to the DOLBY DIGITAL sound output so your ONKYO should be setup to the Digital input, TV logic is a matrix similated multi-channel and I doubt if any PS software is in the DTS audio format, look at your game software disc`s and they will inform you of the audio capabilities.

ONKYO TX-SR606 Single output to TV

Hi there. for your receiver, the only time it can upconvert is when you go out as HDMI. In your current hookup (component out to tv) the signal from your cable (using a composite) will not be able to pass through the component cable. This means you either have to hook up your cable box using a component cable as well or add a composite cable (yellow) from monitor out of the receiver to the tv. Page 22 of the manual will show a diagram of the video signal flow. hope this helps.. ^_^
