"File Format Not Supported" - SA6045/37
The file format not supported message means that the type of file you are trying to load into the GoGear is not compatible with the GoGear. There are no GoGear's that are compatible with iTunes. As far as WMA files are concerned, the GoGear's vary wildly. If the WMA file has a bit rate higher than 192 kbps (which is quite common nowadays), it will not work. If you actually have an SA6045, then make sure the license on the WMA file has "transfer rights," or that the license has not expired. You can check this by right-clicking on the song, selecting Properties, and looking at the tab that says "license" or "digital rights management."

If you find that you are using an incompatible format, convert the songs to mp3 format. If the songs came from CD, use Windows Media Player to re-rip the songs in Mp3 format. You can do this in Windows Media Player 11 by highlighting the "Rip" tab, pulling down the drop down-menu by clicking on the little tiny arrow that appears underneath the word "rip," and selecting "format", and then "mp3".

Good luck!

Sony TC-K690 3-head cassette deck with new belts & pinch roller tires doesn't play.

This decks need a feedback from different sensors and switches, if something doesn't check, it aborts right away.
Check if all the mechanical switches are indeed working, if the circuits that read that switch are working, etc.

It will only hold about 20 songs (its 2gb) and will play on the computer but not thru the head phones (am I not switching it on properly?)

Plug your player into your computer with the USB lead,
Open MY COMPUTER and see the removable drive.
Right Click and select FORMAT
Note - this will delete everything on there but lets you start again and should hold many more songs
Hope this helps

I bought a 16 gb touch pmp from china and it will not play music

Hi

if you detele all the music from the player and then put in 1 or 2 songs, then play those two songs? do they play?

If they play fine, put in more songs, its very likely that you have been sold a face capasity player, I got a 16GB player from china, it was actually 4GB, everything above 4GB would not play.

read this page, and test your player with the program:

Idj2 stutter start button

I have this same problem. I haven't found a solution anywhere, but a great workaround is using the Fader Start function - basically the moment the fader is slid into the main mix, the deck which you enable will start to play the tune. Hit the mode button, then select control, and turn on Fader start. It's actually really cool and allows you to do some ballsy mixes :) The deck will pause (or cue depending on the setting) once you bring it back.
