Psp menu problem

Well, here's what happens when i start it up...

1. starts up fine for about 5-6 secs
2. A glitch in the screen appears ( like a tv with bad reception) then goes back to normal image
3. When i move to the categories (Game/Music Etc.) its very slow
4. Once i try to start a game/music/video, it freezes

This causes me to move quickly if i want to play a game. Although, once i actually get to START the game, it runs perfectly fine, like it used to.

If you or anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise, ill just go back to the person who hacked it for me. Ok, thanks.

Ok, your psp CPU clock speed is set to low speed.. 2 way to change:

1. If your psp has VSH menu enable.. : press "select" button, a small window will appear, otherwise its set to "disable".. See at "CPU CLOCK XMB" must set as "default". use left-right d-pad to change it. if vsh menu is disable you can try 2nd way.

2. Boot PSP under Recovery menu ( Hold R-trigger when turn on your psp ).. under M33 menu select "CPU Speed" then press "X", select "Speed in XMB" and "Speed in UMD" to setting as "Default" by pressing "X" button a few times.

Hopefully this help.! Pls post back should you need additional information, and also Show your Appreciation, to help other USER.

tip

Play psp games on tv via composite/component av cable

you will need to have:

1.a psp slim with custom firmware 3.80 or 3.90.
2.composite/component av cable.
3.installer plugin file FUSA that can be sourced in the internet e.g. qj.net.
4.memory stick pro duo with 2 gigabytes capacity.

steps:

1.source the FUSA installer file.
2.once sourced, extract it to your pc desktop using 'winrar'.
3.connect pc to psp via usb.
4.upon extraction, copy or drag all four files (prx and txt) to the 'seplugins' folder on the memory stick (ms0:/seplugins/).
5.if you don't have the 'seplugins' folder on the root of the memory stick, create it.
6.exit usb connection and completely turn off psp, then turn it back on while pressing the 'R' button to go to recovery menu.
7.on recovery menu, choose and click plugins, set the FUSA plugin to 'enable',then exit recovery menu.
8.you can also activate the plugin on the FUSA menu itself, and this is better recommended.
9.connect now psp to crt tv using component av cable.
10.load a game and after loading it,just right before clicking the 'start' button to begin play, exactly at this point, simultaneously press on the volume - and + buttons to bring out the FUSA menu.
11.after a few seconds, the FUSA menu will appear on the psp screen, change the settings accordingly, exit FUSA menu and start the game to play it on your tv.

*many games or emulators will work but not all as the FUSA file is still in its beta stage, you need to figure out which one will work or not through trial and error.use caution, this guide works but no guarantees.
*used a 2 gb memory stick pro duo as 4 gb didn't work.
*used on an interlace only tv and not progressive or crt/non-flat/lcd/plastma/hdtv's.

thanks.

Can't get it to auto tune

Hello

To set the TV to autotune do the following.

1 Press "Power Button" to turn on the TV. The Initial Setup screen appears

2 Press CH UP button on the remote control or on the TV front panel to start Auto Program, or press CH DOWN button to Exit.

When you start autoprogramme, wait until it is finished; otherwise it will skip over channels that are available. If it happens so, perform autoprogram again by turning on the power button.

The initial set up screen appears each time you turn on TV until you perform auto program.

To perform Auto Program again

1 Press "Menu" button.
2 Press"=>"to highlight Channel Menu.
3 Press "Down arrow button" to highlight Cable. Press "+" button to select.

4 Press "Up Arrow button" or 'Down arrow button"to highlight On or Off according to how you connected your TV. Press "+" to select.
5 Press "Down arrow button" to highlight Auto Program. Press [+] to search for channels
6 After Auto Program finishes press "Menu button" to exit.

To reset the TV to factory settings

1 Turn the TV on.
2 Hold down [Reset key] on the remote control.

3 Press and release the POWER button on the TV front panel. The TV will turn itself off,
then back on.
4 Release [Reset] key.
Ok.

PSP SCREEN FLICKERS AND GOES SLOW IN MAIN MENU

Ok...this sounds crazy but it happened to one of my PSPs. I updated the firmware on my system and the menu started stalling and taking a long time to respond. I shut the PSP all the way down....holding the power button until the light shuts off (about 4 or 5 seconds)...Hold the R button and power the system on again (you should be in recovery mode)...go to CPU speed and make sure it is either set at "Default" or "222"....I belive 222 is the default setting....also make sure the UMD is also set at "Default" or 222....if you're going to use the UMD.
