I have a Toshiba colorstream TV that uses the RCA cables. My sister just bought me a 3D Blu-ray player. I purchaed a HMDI cable that had an HMDI connection on one end and only three RCA connectors on the other end. That cable did not work - no picture or even sound. So basicly my question is how do I connect this Blu-ray to my Color stream (it has 5 RCA connectors - red, white, blue, green, yellow) T.V.
It should connect best to the one with blue, green, red and then the two for sound--red and white---This is component hookup.
once connected you select the input via the remote or menu..
The ones with the yellow, white and red are composite (yellow is video and color and red/white are audio---doubt it will work off blue ray unless similar outputs on that.

SOURCE: connecting dvd/vcr combo with tv and digital cable box.
You trying to put the DVD/VCR combo between the cable box and the TV? OK, cable out goes to vcr in, vcr out goes to tv, I think you got that. Now there should be a tv/vcr button on the vcr/dvd, you need to press that when the unit is on. Also, make sure you are on the correct input on both the vcr and the tv, usually video 1 or AUX and choose line in or L1 on the vcr/dvd. If the tv/vcr button is toggled, itll completely bypass the vcr/dvd player.

Good day.
The missing color issue can be resolved by resoldering the loose contacts in your units circuitry. Your unit is still worth to be fixed.
Response is highly appreciated.

SOURCE: DVD only plays in black and white on my Toshiba 27D46 TV
Check on the dvd menu for the video format maybe that´s the problem
SOURCE: Red tint while using component cables
Disconnect component cable while observing screen, just to make sure that is your problem. If it is and you already substituted the dvd player and it still happens,, try replacing the cable, it may be defective. If it still happens there may be some kind of a processing defect with the component input of your tv, why not just return to RCA's
