Whirlpool Gas Dryer Dry-Miser not going to off from Auto setting

Catriver,
This is danpatron. Your picture helped me fix my gas dryer before by replacing the thermal fuse.
Now, I have another problem. On the Dry-Miser, Automatic Dry setting,
It drys, but I came back 3 hours later and its still drying. The problem is not the heat. It was super dry. The problem is the timer didn't move to the off position.

SOURCE: machine drys fine on timed cycles but shuts off before clothes are dry on automatic cycle.

the automatic feature could be the problem. the damp sensor could be faulty. the timer would run even though the clothes are still damped. it is supposed to stop while the clothes are still wet.

tnx 4 using fixya,

SOURCE: Works on all cycles except that on the Automatic

Inside the drum is 2 long metal trips that measure capacitance in the clothes as they get dryer. Sometimmes liquid fabric softener gets on them and stops the process. Wipe them off. They are right on the filter housing inside just below the filter.

SOURCE: Whirlpool Gas Dryer keeps running on auto dry setting

When you moved the sensor wire on the moisture sensor may have fallen off.
Remove the front panel and locate the wire and the connection. It will be on the right side near the lint filter vent. If it is still connected your timer has gone bad.

SOURCE: Whirpool dryer won't heat up

You need to replace the thermal fuse and the timer. A bad timer will over draw a thermal fuse and cause it to blow.

Please remember to unplug the dryer before servicing

SOURCE: dryer drys but the timer dial does not turn to stop automatic

Hi, You will need to change the timer. The timer motor has gone bad. You can test it by removing the back cover on the control panel and test the two wires going to the timer motor to see if it is getting 120V. If it is getting voltage, it should turn.
Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Thanks
Vic

Gas dryer heats at first then take forever to dry, auto dry setting does not advance

If it works to begin with and fails afterwards then that can only be them solenoids mounted on the gas assembly. Here is my home video which shows how to check and replace:

I have a whirlpool dryer model #len 2000pgo and my wash doesnt get dry but dryer gets warm ...not hot like it should. what could be wrong???

Is this a gas or an electric dryer as the model number doesn't match any dryer and depending on gas or electric it can be very different things that are wrong. The gas dryer will probably need a new set of coils but I need to know what kind of dryer it is to narrow down the exact problem. Please let me know and I would be glad to help you fix this as fast as possible.

What is automatic dry miser

Hello,
What the automatic dry miser is, is a sensor that measure how dry the clothes are and will adjust the time its going to take to dry the clothes throughout the entire cycle. If at the beginning it estimate it will take 40 minutes to sry a load but they are dry in only 25 minutes the dryer knows the clothes are dry and cuts the dryer off. Saving 15 minutes of unneeded gas and electric that it would run and waste power and gas since the clothes were dry already.

Whirlpool dryer has very little heat

Sounds like your not getting enough gas supply, there is a regulater that controls the flow of gas they can get carbon build-up and restrict the gas.You need to turn off your gas supply and unplug it,remove the regulator and clean the lines,or replace the part.

Hope this helped.Let me know by rating me or

Whirlpool Gas Dryer, LGR5636EQ2, timer not moving on Auto (DryMis

If that is a 3 wire gas assembly then the timer is screwed. The orange wire when removed from the mix will make the thing advance. The trouble is in the timer. If that is a 2 wire gas operator you need to change the high limit and open up the outside vent. My opinion.

Whirlpool

On some dryers when in Automatic the timer don't move all time
it moves at certain times and don't move for a while. Heat sensor may be bad or the dryer is clogged up with lint . The vent to the outside could be clogged up too. I would run it for a while & see if the timer moves in automatic. If it moves all time in timed dry the timer is most likely ok. Hope this helps good luck.

Whirlpool Gold Ultimate Care II: No heat

didc, on a gas dryer, if the thermal fuse blows it will still rotate, but will not heat. Since this is a gas dryer, see if the ignitor is glowing. If it is, then you know the thermal fuse is good. If not, the thermal fuse may be blown or the ignitor itself and thus the reason for no heat. Catriver.7152136.jpg
