The oven light still works and I checked the circuit breaker and it is ok. The clock on the control panel started fading and now is unreadable. Nothing turns on.
Can you hear audible tones form the machine when trying to set?? and just hte display has dimmed( amore normal complaint). all functions are working just the clock/display has dimmed to non readable state. if thats the issue youll need to replace the display part number 71003424 retails for about $165
i dont have complete model number of your oven , but ther werea few choices diagrams tell me you have a touch panel( part you press for function), a relay board that controls the functions, adn the clock is is really just a display of your choice, i would want to say without seeing for myself you have a bad touch panel($175) for lack of response. and the fading issue relates to the clock$170 and the relay board is about $125

There are no audible tones at all and no response to anything I touch on the control panel, the oven will not turn on and you can't read anything in the clock display. I am thinking it is the electronic control panel that needs to be replaced since I read many complaints on line about that malfunctioning on this and other Jen Air models. I want to replace it myself, but I don't know what I need to order. Parts I see on line are the electronic control panel and then a separate clock display. Both are around $170. Do I need both of these or just the electronic control panel. I appreciate any advise you have.
Did you get your range fixed?
I have the same problem, of sorts. My display started to dim a while ago, then went to completely unreadable.
The stove works just fine, no tones & no display, but heats up just fine. The problem is that it won't turn off. So I go to the main circuit breaker, turn it off. If I wait just a few moments, flip the breaker, the stove stays off until I use it again.
Did you get yours fixed, what did you buy, how was the job?
Thanks, Joe
