Jenn Air JJW8530C stopped working

The oven light still works and I checked the circuit breaker and it is ok. The clock on the control panel started fading and now is unreadable. Nothing turns on.

  • secraigyork Nov 05, 2008

There are no audible tones at all and no response to anything I touch on the control panel, the oven will not turn on and you can't read anything in the clock display. I am thinking it is the electronic control panel that needs to be replaced since I read many complaints on line about that malfunctioning on this and other Jen Air models. I want to replace it myself, but I don't know what I need to order. Parts I see on line are the electronic control panel and then a separate clock display. Both are around $170. Do I need both of these or just the electronic control panel. I appreciate any advise you have.

Did you get your range fixed?

I have the same problem, of sorts. My display started to dim a while ago, then went to completely unreadable.

The stove works just fine, no tones & no display, but heats up just fine. The problem is that it won't turn off. So I go to the main circuit breaker, turn it off. If I wait just a few moments, flip the breaker, the stove stays off until I use it again.

Did you get yours fixed, what did you buy, how was the job?

    Thanks, Joe

i dont have complete model number of your oven , but ther werea few choices diagrams tell me you have a touch panel( part you press for function), a relay board that controls the functions, adn the clock is is really just a display of your choice, i would want to say without seeing for myself you have a bad touch panel($175) for lack of response. and the fading issue relates to the clock$170 and the relay board is about $125

Jenn air svd46800 oven not working

Good Afternoon,
The control boards in your appliance may have failed. There is a display board, part number 71001799 and relay board part number 12001693. Commonly we see transformers on these relay boards fail with power surges. Luckily, we do test and repair these parts. Remanufacturing these controls will save you the high cost of buying new, and each rebuild will come with a 2 year warranty-- which is three times longer than new. Email me if you have any questions! Jenn air svd46800 not working

I'd be on the hunt for a burned fuse I could replace, on those two circuit panels. If no fuse(s) can be found, I would be sad to think the circuit board itself got fried, and new ones can be goofy expensive, so here's to you finding a burned fuse!!

Jenn-air SVD48600P oven will not work / F3 error . I recently replace the expense control / clock unit on my oven because it would not heat. This was advice from repair person. Once replaced the over...

Hi jmhostetler9,

This F3 that keeps flashing on your oven is caused by a shorted or open oven temperature sensor (RTD). To fix this problem check sensor harness and harness connection between oven sensor and oven control. Replace oven temperature sensor (RTD) if wiring is ok.You may contact Sears for the replacement part at 1-800-252-1698; M-F 6:30 AM-10:30 PM - Sat 7:00 AM-9:30 PM - Sun 7:30 AM-9:30 PM - All times Central. Just get your model # ready when you call.

Hope this helps.

I HAVE A JENN AIR WALL OVEN AND WAS CLEANING AND MY JENN AIR MICROWAVE STOP WORKING DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA'S

Check for a tripped breaker or blown fuse in your fuse box. Assuming they are separate units there is no common connection other then the power source.
Good Luck,

Oven digital lighted display is dim

You need to replace the C3 capacitor on the control board

http://fixitnow.com/wp/2009/01/28/cheap-fix-for-a-dim-display-on-an-oven-control-panel/

You can replace only the C3 - it is 68uF / 35V and you can go to Radio Shack and get their part # 272-1028 - 100uF/35V one. It takes all but 10 minutes to re-solder the new one in place

Jenn-Air Gas Range SEG196 NO CLOCK/DISPLAY

THE ONLY SOLUTION FOR THE BAD DISPLAY IS TO REPLACE THE CLOCK. I HAVE A JENN AIR OVEN TODAY AS A WORK ORDER TO REPLACE THE CLOCK FOR A FAILED DISPLAY.

FOR THE JGW8130DDB WITH NO POWER ANYWHERE, IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE A SUPPLY PROBLEM. MAKE SURE THE WIRING IS HOOKED UP WITH THE RED AND WHITE WIRES RECEIVING 240 VOLTS AND THE WHITE WIRE ATTACHED TO NEUTRAL / GROUND.IF THE OVEN HAS A BARE COPPER WIRE AND THE HOUSEHOLD WIRING ONLY HAS THREE WIRES, COMBINE THE WHITE WIRE AND THE COPPER WIRE TOGETHER AND ATTACH TO THE HOUSEHOLD NEUTRAL / GROUND .
UNLESS YOU ARE SURE ABOUT THE HOOKUP IN THE BREAKER/FUSE BOX, DO NOT GO SIMPLY BY THE COLOR OF THE WIRES.
