Im suddenly being told to add paper cassette when there is already a cassete in use and i have tried removing it and puting it back in/ turning it off and then on again/ changing to mp tray and then back but if i want to use the cassette it wont let me telling me there is none installed.
I've fixed it! - remove the paper tray, look underneath the printer, in the front section there is a white plastic shaft and a few cogs attached to it - look for a thin long black plastic sensor, operated by a springs - make sure that it operates freely and it is not jammed against that white plastic shaft
Turn the printer off. Pull the paper cassette out and push down the green tab down to see if there is any paper jam inside. put the cassette back in and turn the printer on. Worked on my kyocera FS - 1370 DN.
SOURCE: messege * load mp tray * but tray has plenty of
MP tray is not the cassette it this flap that pulls down above it.
The machine will revert to asking to place paper in its MP tray when the information it is receiving about the document from whatever program tell it that the size is not the same as what the cassette is set to...
so, check page size in of document in word program or whatever you are using
also check paper type and size settings match those you just checked in the printers properties under printers in control panel.
If you put a piece of paper in the MANUAL BYPASS TRAY bot the cassette it will print on that.
To get evverything back to normal, turn off printer, delete jobs in print que, change paper size of document in word/excell/etc is set same as paper type in printer, print again.. all should be good...
p.s. these are good quality printers that why I bother to answer you... cheers
SOURCE: Copier says there is no paper in tray when there
Check what size paper you are telling the machine to print on to as the nachine does not have the correct size paper in it will come up with this message constantly.
SOURCE: Message says to add paper
There is a sensor with a flag that may need to be cleaned or replaced. Take out the tray and put the printer on its backside (so you are looking underneath the printer. There is a flag and sensor visible. Clean the sensor. If that doesn't work, replace.
