Hi there,

I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your DC25 Animal. If the filter inside the Ball will not stay in place during use, please make sure that when you refit it, it locks into place with an audible 'click'.

I can confirm it's normal for your Dyson to become warm during use, but if you're concerned that it seems excessively hot, I'd encourage you to get in touch with us directly so we can help. You can reach us on 0800 298 0298 (UK), or 1-866-693-9766 (US).

Best wishes,

Jack

SOURCE: My Dyson DC25 keeps blowing off the filter within

This seems to be caused by the filter release becoming depressed during use. I have tried fixing this into the locked position with tape, but to no avail. We paid a service engineer to service the unit, but he was unable to resolve this issue.

SOURCE: Inner ball filter keeps popping

    Hi there,

When replacing the post-motor filter after washing it, please make sure you've pressed it down firmly until locked into place. You should be able to hear an audible 'click' when it's correctly positioned. This video guide from the Support section of our website shows the correct way to remove, wash and replace the filters:

My dyson filter in ball keeps popping out when it gets hot. whats wrong with it

Pretty common problem with that model... Caused by unit not having enough air flow across the filter. This higher pressure is greater than the latch holding force and pops off. Blow it out with my air compressor and it should fix the problem

Dyson dc 25 overheating filter pops out

THe iflter is BAD. run it without it and the heat and noiese will stop. THen you can decide to buy a new one or not. It is not required. It is an allergy helper. But if you had allergy issues a bagless is not the way to go anyway. The filter claims to be washable but it is not really . A new filter can be washed or even better blown out with a compressor a couple of times but you will be changing every year or two.

Ball won,t rotate keeps getting stuck

Hi there, it's Jack at Dyson.

I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulty with your DC25. If the ball shell won't rotate, it's likely that the post-filter is out of place. To resolve this the filter should be removed then pressed back down into place firmly - you should hear and feel a click from the red filter catch once the filter is correctly secured:

If you have any further difficulty with the ball or the filter after giving this a try, please get in touch directly as I'm confident we can resolve this for you. You can reach our experts by calling 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), 1-877-397-6622 (CA) or 1800 239 766 (AU).

Emptied cannister and now roller will not rotate and yellow ball became very warm-

Hi there, I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your DC24. It's normal for the Ball to become warm during use, since the motor is housed inside it. If the Ball won't rotate, you may have the filter cover fitted incorrectly - please see the video below to ensure the HEPA filter and filter cover are correctly secured in place. If this doesn't help, or if you're concerned the cleaner is becoming excessively hot, it's probably best if you get in touch with us directly. One of our experts will be happy to run through some troubleshooting over the phone, and assist in resolving this issue for you as quickly as possible. You can call us free on 08002980298 (UK), or 1866MYDYSON (US). Kind regards, Jack Dyson Online Customer Support

Filter in the ball on my DC25 keeps coming loose and keeps the ball from spinning any ideas

My Dyson DC25 keeps blowing off the filter within the ball. It then stops the ball from rotating freely.
