try to check first the systems set up like for example PAL or NTSC system because if it not set to the right broadcast system the picture might be roll or sometimes black and white.
The ICs you need are STK392-040 you will need two of them. You cant get the ICs or Radio Shack as they are specialty items. HD ready?? NO - - Compatible? Yes but you'll need the converter.. The US post office will be giving away coupons for the converter. Google search the HD converter issue and you'll have a wealth of information.

Do you still have this TV?Sounds to me like a bad capacitor,or two.I just got done fixing an Akai LCT2660 that had four bad capacitors on the power board.Works perfect now.Hope this helps.Thank You very much!
