SOURCE: My Toshiba 51H94 HDTV TheaterWide

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. You’ll need to reset it, to reset the TV turn it off and wait for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes unplug the television power cord from the electrical outlet and let the television remain without power for more then 1 minute. Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet. If the television is plugged into a power surge protector, remove it from there and plug it directly into the wall outlet. Turn on the television. If the issue is resolved, then the problem is with the power surge protector and not the television. If the issue is not resolved then this might have happened due to over-voltage. Please check the power supply unit for swollen/ bulged capacitors and burnt wires/components on the power supply board. Please make sure to turn off and unplug the TV for at least 1 hour (this will drain off current from all components especially capacitors) before you perform any repairs. Also note that the TV consists of very high voltages even when it is in off condition. All this is only recommended if you have electrical expertise and know how to solder/re-solder components. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

Rylee

My Toshiba theaterwide hd has no color. It just stopped working

You need to replace the color wheel.
Unfortunately they do not sell that part you need to buy the complete Light Engine or a new TV.

Re: Toshiba Theaterwide HD 52" rear projection. Set is approximately six years old. Picture is now getting dark at 50% default settings. I have increased brightness to 65% which is slightly better.What...

No I don't think its wearing out. It is possible that the lamp is dying. This is more likely if you haven't changed it in a while. Replacing it should make it good as new.

I have picture but no sound when connected thru hdmi using a panasonic blue ray Dvd player. It is working fine with my 42 inches sharp lcd.

Be sure you are not trying to use 1080p/60 from your Blu-Ray player to your Toshiba. You should connect the player to the Sharp, then set the output to 1080i... then move it over to the Toshiba.
