Look at your on and off switch if it's on turn it off, then the green light will show up

that depends, when you bought the mp3 player did it come with an USB charger?
also, do you have to put batteries in it?
if A is true and B is false it is charging, else check the manual or post the actual name of the mp3player in here

well, i had the same problem as everyone else... when it is not plugged to the wall it wouldnt even turn on. When I plugged it in, it showed the plug icon, but not the charge icon...
I gave it a try at the creative website, and found the recovery tool... i downloaded it and updated the firmware... and then it is charging again! hope that helps.
