We do all the thing whilpool says to do past year and half and still can,t get our cloths clean
Is this a front-load washer or top load?
Is the machine operating properly, or are your clothes getting a musty smell?
The musty smell has a few solutions, One may work but probably a combination of all will work best.
Immediately move wet clothes to the dryer, do not let them sit in the washer for a long time.
If your clothes smell, put mouthwash with your clothes directly in the tub during the wash cycle (this will not stain your clothes)
leave the door open when not in use (lets it dry out)
If the washer smells, use bleach and hot water in an empty cycle once in a while (kills just about every kind of bacteria or mold which may be causing the smell)
Use washing machine cleaner once in a while(can be found at your local grocery store isle next to detergent)
Dry your clothes completely, damp clothes can start to smell again.
If you are looking for a new washer, try to find a newer model that features a stainless steel tub with silver impregnation. The silver is a natural disinfectant.

What can I do to make my clothes get clean and not have sweat stains under the arms of my shirts and not have an odor in them after washing and drying ? I have already tried cleaning the machine with Affresh once a month and even cleaned it with bleach and hot water 8 days in a row..nothing has helped!!!!
For the sweat stains, you could try Resolve Stain lifter. Pre spray before washing. you can add it during the wash cycle also. A can of cola can be useful for removing a lot of different types of stains. I used it for removing hydraulic oil from my work clothes. You may need to soak your clothes with the cola for an hour or two. Try using Gunk hand cleaner on the stains (mechanic hand cleaner). Dawn hand soap is really good at lifting oil and grease. Just make sure you rinse the Dawn out before you wash the clothes because it will make a LOT of Suds.
Do you have hard water, or is there a lot of sulfur in your water? Water softeners can sometimes help, but sometimes these aren't enough. Iron in your water can definately stain your clothes. You can get your water tested at Sears. If you have a lot of pink grime inside your toilet tank, or rust sains on your bathtub and sinks, this may be an indicator that your water has issues. You can get your water tested at Sears for a small fee, and they have a lot of solutions for filtration.
I know this isnt really treating the problem, but perhaps you can cover up the smell of your clothes with pleasant smelling laundry detergent. I prefer Gain, but anything that smells good to you would probably work ok.
Im not a big fan of HE machines. I had one a few years ago with similar problems and finally decided to go back to the old top-load regular washer. Have been happy ever since.
