Hello good day, just remove your SATA cable from your hard disk if your using a SATA type HARD DISK, change with a new one, or try to pull it back and put it back tightly. It's just a loss contact situation. That's why you are receiving that message.

Aspire one keep saying no bootable device insert boot disk and press any key and I don't have a disk slot

You hard drive is missing from the system. Or, just does not recognize it. The obvious - Remove any USB devices like drives and any media from disc player. Its trying to load, but can't find bootable hard drive, CD, or USB... Remove the hard drive and reseat (reconnect). Check BIOS by pressing an F key during boot. Look on the screen for correct Function key. Might be F2 key. Verify BIOS recognizes the drive. It must be listed! There is no going forward if it's not. Check boot order and make internal hard drive first. Save and restart.

Hitting F8 key repeatedly will not access Safe Mode option for my HP D530

If you getting this error then you won't be able to open computer in safe mood, Because this error message indicate that there is no proper bootable media selected or there is no OS in your Hard drive.
First thing you can do is go to BIOS and check what is your First boot device selected, if it is other then Hard drive then change it Hard drive and save setting and come out of it.
If there is any media, like Pen drive or any CD then remove it and start your computer.
If still you have same problem then I am afraid that your OS is Corrupted.

My screen says no bootable device-- insert boot disk and press any key

This sometimes shows up if the floppy drive is set as the first boot device in Bios, and the disk in the floppy drive is not bootable.

Have you attempted to boot to Safe Mode? To enter the Safe Mode menu, continually tap the F8 key just after powering on the computer.

If you're abe to boot to Safe Mode, try choosing the option "Last known good configuration" as the boot option.

If this doesn't work, try Safe Mode (with or without Networking)

We need to know if you can even boot before continuing. If you can't boot then you may need to do a Windows repair. Do you have the OS Disc?

When i start up it goes to a black screen and says: For Atheros PCIE Ethernet Controller v1.0.0.5(01/22/09) Check Cable Connection..! PXE-E63: Error while initializing the NIC PXE-MOF: Exiting...

You may try booting in safemode.

Follow the steps:

1. Turn the computer on or Restart the computer
* Start tapping the F8 key. The Windows Advanced Boot Options Menu appears. If you begin tapping the F8 key too soon, some computers display a "keyboard error" message. To resolve this, restart the computer and try again.
* Ensure that the Safe mode option is selected (the top option)
* Press Enter. The computer then begins to start in Safe mode.

2. Do system restore. Follow the steps tp://support.microsoft.com/kb/948247. If it do the same thing go to 3.
3. Recovery.

Actually that error is an indication of some bad sectors on the Hard drive. There is still no guarantee that the recovery will work.

When my computer starts it goes to a black screen and says "no bootable device jnsert boot disk and press any key" what can i do

Normal 0

This error message - "No bootable device. Insert boot disk and press any key" means -

The PC cannot see a boot file/disk on either the hard disk or floppy drive.
Check the floppy drive and remove and floppy disk.
If there was no disk in the floppy drive then it is a hard disk problem.
Check the BIOS to see if the hard disk is detected, if not open the case and re-seat the data cable on the hard drive and also where it connects to the motherboard disk controller.
If it still gives this error message and the BIOS does not detect the hard drive, then the hard drive is probably faulty.
A further check on the hard drive, remove the hard drive and connect it to an USB hard drive adapter and connect it to a working computer's USB port, if this computer does not detect it as an external storage device then the hard drive is faulty.
To get the computer working again, install a new hard drive in your computer and then install Windows on the new hard drive plus the computer's device drivers and your programs.
