How to Change Time on NEC Dterm Series E phone

I have changed the system time but the LCD display time will not change. How can I change it? I've tried 'Feature' 9#. HELP!

    I press specker the 72...then I get a busy signal. It won't let me press the entire 728. It just gives me a busy signal. Still needing help...

    CAT Mode Procedure: This is to be done while the phone is in an idle state.
    1. Press
    2. Press
    3. Press *
    4. Press
    5. Press
    6. Press #
    7. “CAT MODE” displayed on LCD
    8. Press
    9. “COMMAND” displayed on LCD
    10. Press 02
    11. Press
    12. Press 2
    13. Press
    14. “02>2>Current Time” displayed on LCD
    15. Input correct time using military time (HH MM SS)
    16. Press

To reset time NEC Dterm 80
Press speaker and enter 728 on keypad.
Then enter correct time in 24 hour format...Ex. 2:56 = 1456
Then press speaker again...
Note: On my system this changes time on all phones on the system

  • Press Recall to change Am / Pm
  • Press Hold to change Date
  • Press Recall to change Day of the week

NEC dterm series II phones-name desplay

This works on the series E phones. It may or may not work on the series II.
  1. Press the Speaker key (do not use the handset).
  2. Dial the Name Assignment access code and wait for the special dial tone.
  3. Using the key pad spell the name. Press each number until the letter appears.
  4. When the correct letter is displayed Press the HOLD key. Pressing the HOLD key will lock the letter in place and advance to the next position.
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 continue to spell the name.
Pressing the TRANSFER key will change the current letter to lower case.
Example to enter the name “Pat” press:
77 HOLD 22 TRANSFER HOLD 88 TRANSFER HOLD

Press Feaure 4, should display Tel 1 or Tel 2, if not, can't change time. Must be admin phone.
