The "Rinse Only Button" will not function even after going through the "Cancel" cycle.

I have tried many times to push the "Cancel" button on the dishwasher. It goes through it's cycle and stops. At this point I try pushing the "Rinse Only" button and then push the "Start" button, and the dishwasher starts up on the last wash cycle it was previously on. How can I clear this up and us the "Rinse Only" cycle?

I turn on the wash cycle. It sounds as if it's starting, makes intermittent sounds for a few minutes, then stops (cancels itself).

sometimes you have to select wash cycle and then push the cancel button over and over before start button works

Br, sounds like you have a stuck keypad. This would be the only reason it is switching to a different cycle. Catriver..post back.

HE3 doesn't respond to any button. Time light keeps flashing time. Pause cancel button does nothing, Cycle doesn't start. The only thing that will change is if you push a different mode ie, heavy,...

Unplug the machine for at least half an hour to eliminate the possibility of an electronic glitch. Then upon plugging in back, close the door then push CONTROL/ON (if present on this model). Select the DRAIN/SPIN cycle then select NO SPIN by pressing the SPIN SPEED button. Push PREWASH OPTION four times within five seconds. If PREWASH OPTION is not present on this model, press EXTRA RINSE four times within five seconds. C:00 will light up on the display. If the Starting procedure fails, push the PAUSE/CANCEL button then repeat the starting procedure.

In order to advance to the next step of the test procedure, push PREWASH OPTION button two times. If PREWASH OPTION is not present on this model, press EXTRA RINSE two times. The test program goes from C:00 to C:08 and should flash an error code when a problem is present. Post the code back for further troubleshooting, including the exact model number of the machine.

Talking about a kenmore 665.16389300 dishwasher. the "normal wash" button is blinking, but none of the other buttons seem to work and the cleaning cycle will not start when i press the...

Hi
Open the door. Within 3 seconds press the following sequence --Try pressing normal wash, heated dry, normal wash, heated dry, normal wash, heated dry three times within 6 seconds and then press cancel to reset the dishwasher. If that doesn't help then try pressing Saini Rinse, Heated Dry, Saini Rinse, Heated Dry, Saini Rinse, Heated Dry or Saini Rinse, Air Dry, Saini Rinse, Air Dry, Saini Rinse, Air Dry 3 times in 6 seconds and then the Cancel Button. Close the door and press Cancel.
Blinking lights would stop and should be able to use your dishwasher normally. If the light is still blinking try and reset the power to the dishwasher and try again. If still the light is blinking then check for the connections on the keypad, it may be due to moisture or shorted connections on keypad. Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

I've tried to use this new machine 3 times. Each time it was never turned off until I pushed the cancel/drain button. Once I let it run for 2 hours before turning it off. This evening I tried the rinse...

If this is a new machine and it's under warranty, Have a technician come out and repair it as soon as possible. then fully test it's operation after he is done fixing it . It sounds to me as though it needs a new control board. That is an expensive repair.
If it is then not working, You should demand (politely) that it is in perfect condition or that it is replaced. Also make sure that you do not have to pay for the removal or installation of the replacement. You will need your bill of sale.
Hope this is helpful,

Dish washer does not turn on CL light stays on when reset count down 6 appears then goes to CL

Hello and welcome to Fixya,

I have a ton of service info on Bosch so it`s best I post you an exert from the service pdf`s I have on my PC which will explain the meaning of "CL" and then go from there. This is not a common indication of a control problem, but it could be a problem with the plastic casing which houses the control, we`ll deal with that later.

I`ve underlined the section pertaining to the "CL", this is for the SHU68** dishwashers only.

TO OPERATE:

First depress the On/Off Button until it locks in place.

Once the On/Off Button is depressed the LED above the previously used cycle will illuminate.

To change the cycle, simply press the desired Cycle Button twice. The LED above that cycle will then illuminate.

The Cycle Countdown will display an approximate run time for the cycle chosen.

This run time will depend on incoming water temperature and the turbidity of the pre-wash water.

Note: It is normal for the Countdown Display to remain at a time increment for more than one minute, or skip a time increment depending on the calculations of the Control Unit. Also, with continued use the Control Unit will learn the wash and temperature patterns for the most commonly used programs and will then reduce the overall start and running times.

At the end of the cycle the display will show a CL, indicating that the cycle is complete.

**TO CANCEL A CYCLE:
Press the Scrub Wash and Delicate / Econo Buttons both in at the same time. The unit will then drain and the figure CL will appear in the display.**

DELAY START:
The Delay Start feature allows the unit to be delayed for up to nine hours. To program, start the unit as described above, but after selecting a cycle push the Delay Start button. The display will show a 1h, or one-hour delay. Continue to depress the Delay Start Button until the desired delay time is reached (up to nine hours, 9h).
The unit will begin automatically once the delay time has elapsed. To reset the delay, press the Delay Start Button until it reaches 0h.

TOP RACK ONLY:
The Top Rack Only feature can be used in conjunction with any cycle. To active, press the Top Rack Only Button after selecting a
cycle, the Top Rack Only LED will illuminate and all water will be diverted to the upper wash arm for the complete cycle.

REFILL RINSE AGENT LED:
The Refill Rinse Agent LED is activated via a Reed Switch on the Detergent Dispenser, Section 4, Fig. 8-3. The LED will
illuminate when the Rinse Agent Dispenser is empty.
Service note: The Refill Rinse Agent LED will also illuminate when the dishwasher door is opened and then
closed even if the Dispenser is full, but will only remain lit for a few seconds.

“F” CODE:
An “F” in the display window indicates a filling fault.

Please note: If the door is opened during the cycle, the On/Off Button will be reset to off and must be depressed again to re-active the cycle. The cycle will resume from where it left off.

Now that you are equipped with this info, what I`d suggest is trying the **cancel option. ( ** see above )

Once you`ve tried the cancel option, select a Regular Wash and post back what happens and I`ll try to assist you from there.

Good luck.

GE WSSH300 stops after wash and need to hit start again to finish

Be sure to rule out one of the simplest things first---be sure the button that gets depressed when you close the lid is still functioning (or even THERE) Sometimes, if you have had a severly offset load, this switch can become damaged. Some washers will not continue to advance if it " thinks" the door is opened.

Kenmore Dishwasher #15769

Try this solution first
Push the Hi-temp and then push the Sani-rinse. Go back and forth multiple times on these two buttons. I found that after a handfull of pushes that a "1" came up on the display. I continued to keep rotating the two buttons and then a "2" came up on the display and the dishwater started it's "drain" phase. I then hit cancel to clear and then I selected the cycle I wanted. The washer started up just as normal at this point.

Kenmore Ultra Wash Dishwasher LIghts are blinking....

I just read this for the same problem: push sanitize, then heat and dry, sanitize, heat and dry, sanitize, heat and dry, cancel, then open and close the door. It worked. The dishwasher is running correctly even as I type this.
