40AT sometimes makes makes grinding noise under heavy load and it slips

Under normal conditions the motor works great but under high stress, wind and big waves the motor will some times growl and slip ,loss of power until I remove the power and than it will work normally, could it be the prop? Or is there something else wrong.

SOURCE: how to remove the prop

there is a plastic nut that screws onto the prop shaft and needs to be unscrewed. there is also a metal pin that goes through the shaft that needs to be in place and in the right position when you replace the prop. make sure you clear out any fishing line etc that may have collected behind it when you change props.sually recommend you put a little clear silicone grease on the parts as you assemble them as well.ake sure you disconnect the power leads from the battery while your doing this to avoid injury.

SOURCE: Have 12 V bow mount trolling motor that doesn't

Hello, You have several points to check. #1 check your wiring connections--- plug, plug socket, wiring connections internal of trolling motor, condition of wiring to battery, battery terminal connection & charge of battery. #2 borrow someones DVM (digital multimeter) and check the resistance of the speed control as you turn it without any wires connected to it. #3 if problem not found take 2 aspirin and E-mail me of test results "for further review".

Grinding noise on a Bosch washer WFMC2100UC/01 bought in 2007

That is the main bearing worn with so much play that a heavy load will stop it going around and normal wash will grind from time to time.
Bosch use very well made bearing so you might get more out of it before the bearing crashes completely.

Lg waveforce washer makes grinding squeeking noise drum hard to trun.

The LE error or fault code indicates that the washer motor is either overheating or has lost connection to the motor control circuit board. Turn off the machine for 30 minutes to let the motor cool down. Then, restart the washer. If the code comes back immediately the motor is not likely to be at fault and so you should check the wiring from the motor to the motor control board. Also, check the wiring and condition of the rotor position sensor, also called a HALL sensor. If the code doesn't come back on immediately, but returns after the washer has run for a while, the motor stator may be defective
The tub bearing also appears to be part of the problem.

Under heavy load, driver slips, makes grinding noise. How to fix?

Sounds like the gears are worn out. Not worth fixing. But if you buy a drill that uses the same battery pack, now you will have a spare battery and charger.

The motor works sometimes but it is very hot.

It's normal for these to run a little hot, a couple things may cause your motor to run hotter than normal.
1. Bad bearings - a local motor shop can take it apart and replace them for around $50. Usually you can tell by a high pitched grinding or squealing noise
2. Wrong impeller - if your impeller is not the correct size for your HP you will be moving too much/not enough water through your pump causing stress to your motor
3. Blocked airway - you can use a can of air on your motors intake grille while it is running to blow out any clogs, if you have low airflow on the exhaust it probably means the airway is blocked

1995 honda shadow ace, overall runs great, but at certain times while under heavy load, like riding into the wind at highway speeds it will heat up and temp light comes on. if i pull to shoulder and reduce...

could be several things
1-- coolant radiator is partially blocked or the thermostat is not fully opening reducing the flow of coolant through the radiator
2--- tuning is too lean at full load which causes overheat conditions for the engine
3--- timing a bit retarded for the rpms
i t is all connected to the extra load from the head winds requiring extra throttle that you would not normally use in normal conditions
another place to check is the fairing in use as the extra wind speed from the bike and the head wind may be causing a turbulence around the radiator and so preventing full air flow to the radiator

MOTOR SMELLS OF BURNT MOTOR WINDINGS. iS IT NORMAL

No, the pump works while spinning. The burnt smell is probably the belt, especially if your wife saw smoke. Did she put a big load in it at the time?

The belt will slip until the tub catches up with the motor. If there is a heavy load, it can burn the belt up. I would replace it. Make sure the idler pulley on the motor moves freely also.

Shows "LE" in display.

Machine has a bad motor or "stator" on this machine. It is a direct drive winding on the back of the machine. Remove the back panel, the one bolt removes the rotor then you will see the stator winding, replace it and your good to go.
