Hook a spare monitor to the computer, if okay! problem in the original monitor, if both show the same symptom, it means the Video Graphics Card in the computer is defective. If possible change the video cord from the computer to the monitor, sometimes these cords fail.

My monitors not working. I think the problem is the camera. The light won't stay on. Any ideas???

If the monitor is not working then it should not be related to the camera. Do you see any error message on the monitor? Try unplugging it from your computer and tell me what you see on the screen.

When I plug the monitor it won't stay on. Why?

1. CRT or LCD?
2. Do you have an image of any kind for that 45 sec.?
When it drops out after 45 sec, do you have any strange behavior as you look at the screen (colors, blinking, lines, squiggles, noises, smells)?
3. When failing, does the power drop out (ON light goes OFF)?
How long do you need to wait until you can turn it ON again?
4. What is the status of your screen saver/power saver? 45 sec seems pretty short but it's still possible.
5. What does the manufacturer's website have to say about this problem? What do other users have to say when you search for your model?

I know these are just more questions but your question is too generic to offer specific comments that might be more useful.

What to you mean by Monitor won't go on? Are you saying the power on the monitor will not turn on? Are you saying the Monitor is on, but there is nothing showing on the screen? Also it would help if we know what kind of computer and what operating system.

Samsung T220hd won't turn back on from standby

Power up issues on the T220HD monitor are caused by a failure of the capacitors on the IP-49135b power supply board that this unit uses. The repair is easy, you just need to replace the 7 failed capacitors and the unit should be as good as new. Here is a link to some information showing what needs to be replaced to repair the power supply board.

Try to disconnect the monitor and check if the message to connect the cable stays on the screen. I will need more description to solve this. Like Is the monitor's power ON and the display goes off? Is it that the display goes off after windows booting process starts?
