You had whirlpool work on it and a day later its not working. Whirlpool should provide a guarantee with their repair work. Tell them the repair has caused a new problem and ask them to come back and fix their repair because the work they did was not adequate.

Strange problem this one. Could mean insert a Compactflash (CF) card or that the CF card is full of maybe even Custom Functions are set. A photo of the display would help me better to solve the problem.

Formatting a CF Card You should always format a new CF card or one from which you wish to erase all images and other data.
Please note that formatting a CF card erases all data, including protected images and other file types. Please check the contents of the CF card before formatting it.

• When a non-Canon brand CF card is malfunctioning, reformatting it may solve the problem.
• CF cards formatted in another camera, computer or peripheral device may not operate correctly. When that happens, reformat the CF card with this camera.

Take the battery out of the laptop and only hook up the AC Adapter, if it turns on then that means the battery is shorted out and would need to be replaced.

If the laptop still doesn't turn on with just the AC Adapter, look to see if there is a LED Light on the AC Adapter, if the light isn't on when the adapter is plugged in then that means the adapter is bad and would need to be replaced.

If there is no LED indicator on your laptop then try another AC Adapter, if the laptop still doesn't turn on then that means your motherboard is bad and would need to be replaced.

You can get rid of the flashing (usually due to memory overflow) by pressing [<-- left arrow] [ON] or [g] [CF] 9.
If you want to reset permanent memory
1.Press and hold [ON] then press [-]
2. release the [ON] key, then the [-] key.
Screen displays Pr Error.
Press any key to clear display.
