SOURCE: door indicator prevents microwave from starting

This is usually an indication of a bad door interlock. Take resistance readings with the power turned off on the primary and secondary interlocks. You will need to remove the control panel to access them. There should be a wiring diagram somewhere inside the control panel to assist you in determining if the interlock is normally OPEN, or normally CLOSED. As you open and close the door the interlock should change states. Additionally, double all your connectors to make sure they are plugged in correctly. I had a similar problem once and it turned out to be a loose connection on one of the interlocks. I hope this helps you.

Unscrew screws located on bottom of plastic retainer (2 each) Remove tension spring. Note 2 are included right and left. Note color of spring on end, different springs for different door types, stainless, black, beige or white. Replace all in reverse order.

SOURCE: Looking to replace the plastic piece on the

They don't show the entire door assembly as being available.

But you can replace the outer door frame (outer door panel)part number 8184319.

At $167.94, it's not cheap. But you can get it here.

You have to separate the door panels (as shown in the attached photo) and then you'll see the previously hidden screw(s) you need to remove.

Or you can watch a YouTube video (not a video I made) that demonstrates how it's done.

In some cases, you then have to gently rotate the handle to unlock it.

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.

Model KCMS1555R KitchenAid Microwave Oven turntable continues to operate even when the door is open. It seems to work otherwise. I disconnected it from the power hopping it would reset but that did not...

This is an extremely dangerous situation, if the microwave oven is running with the door open it means the safety interlock switches are not working the way they were designed to, and needs to be checked out for safety reasons. I recommend unplugging the device and not use it until it has been checked by a qualified technician.

Sounds like the pads that you push on the touch panel are stuck, will probably have to replace the whole touch panel. On units installed over the oven, they typically plug into an outlet in the cabinet above the microwave. if not, try flipping your circuit breakers until you find the one that shuts off the Microwave.

No display on microwave touchpad for ge Model JKP62G

The GE JKP62G Microwave / Oven combination has an internal fuse behind the control panel for the microwave. The oven will operate but the microwave will be totally dead (no light, no clock). Turn off the breaker for the oven at the fuse box (30 Amp double breaker). In order to replace the fuse you will have to open the door to the microwave, remove the two screws (Torx) from the front control panel (located on the left edge of the control panel), wiggle the panel to the left (there are two metal tabs that stick into the metal frame of the microwave on the right of the panel) and then tilt the panel down from the top. There is a metal bracket that holds the control panel to the microwave at the bottom (don't remove it). Look towards the top of the microwave inside the area behind the control panel and you will see a 15 Amp screw in fuse. Replace the fuse and that should fix your problem.

R-9h81 sharp microwave oven

Replacement keypads for the R-9H-series of microwave ovens are no longer available.

So for as long as you can get by with the oven like it is, go ahead, but the only solution id to replace it with a new model.

You can contact Sharp at 1-800-BE-SHARP (1-800-237-4277) or visit them online for current equivalent models.

Sorry I can't bring better news.
