I have a Lexmarl X125 All in one. Never had any troulbe with it . I took the color cartridge(left side) out to replace it but the printer got used before I got the new one back in. Now it tells me to add left cartridge. I took it out & reinstalled it several times but still says the same thing. It does everything else & will print from computer but not when I try to copy. I cleared memory, ran maintenance etc. Please help!
If you still have the old color cartridge, I would put it back in to see if the message goes away. It is likely that it is your new cartridge or something wrong with the housing that the cartridge is seated into. If you don't have the old cartridge, another new cartridge installed would determine if it is the cartridge or something to do with the housing. If after putting a different cartridge in the printer, you get the same message, then it is the housing.

try this..
unplug your printer from the wall for thirty seconds then plug back in. press the setup button on your printer. then press menu. press the options button until it says run test page. see if your black lines print out on your test page. if they still don't print, you should take a wet clean cloth and clean the copper strips on your ink cartridge. (you should see black ink on the cloth when your touch the little black sponge area just above the copper strip. Hope this helps.
