How do I retrieve recorded messages from an outside phone?

You can access the answering system remotely by dialing your home telephone number from any touch-tone telephone. To remotely access the answering system
Dial your telephone number from any touch-tone telephone. When the answering system answers, enter the two-digit remote access code (19, unless you have changed it). The answering system automatically announces the number of messages (new or old) if there are any. If there are new messages, the answering system automatically begins to play new messages only. -OR If there are no new messages, the answering system automatically begins to play all old messages. You can also enter the remote commands: Play all messages
1 Press to listen to all messages. If there are new messages, the system plays back only the new messages (oldest first). If there are no new messages, the system plays back all old messages (oldest first). Play new messages

How to change the numbr or rings before...

1) With the phone in standby mode, press the menu/clock key three times.
You hear “Ring time” and the current ring time ([2 ], [ 4], [6 ], [T ] Toll
saver), and it is displayed on the main base. Then you hear the guidance for setting
the ring time.

2) Press the volume/select/ or up or down arrow key until the desired ring time appears.

3) Press the set key to select the new ring time. You hear a confirmation tone, then
the announcement “Ring time” followed by the new ring time. After a few
seconds, the system announces “To set record time, press menu again.”

Code to retrieve messages

Here are the instructions you need to follow:

If you want to be able to play your messages from a remote location, you need to enter a two-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) code (01-99).
To select a PIN, perform the following steps:
1) With the phone in standby, press [menu/clock] twice.
The system announces "Security code," and the current PIN code is announced as it is displayed on the base.
Then the system announces the instructions for setting the PIN code.
2) Press [volume/select/ ] or [volume/select/ ] until the desired number appears.
3) Press [set] to select the PIN code. You hear a confirmation tone, then the announcement "Security code" followed by the new PIN code is announced. After a few seconds, the system announces "To set ring time, press menu again."
Note: The PIN code is set to "80" at the factory.

Remote Operation
When you are away from home, you can operate your answering machine with any touch-tone telephone. Use this function to check for recorded messages, to play or delete messages, even record a new greeting message.
1) Call your telephone number.
2) During the greeting message, press [0] and enter your PIN code
3) The answering machine announces the current time and the number of messages stored in memory. Then you hear "To play incoming message, press zero two. For help, press one zero."
4) You may continue to listen to the voice prompts, or you may select a command from the following chart:

Note: Once you enter the remote access menu, you must enter a command within 15 seconds, or the
answering machine automatically hangs up and returns to standby.
5) After all of the voice prompts have been played, you hear intermittent beeps indicating that the system is in the
command waiting mode. You may enter another command at this time from the chart.
6) When you are finished, hang up to exit the system. The answering machine automatically returns to standby.

Turn on the Answering Machine Remotely
If you have forgotten to turn on your answering machine, you can turn it on remotely from any touch-tone telephone.
1) Call your telephone number.
2) Wait ten rings until the system answers. You hear intermittent beeps.
3) Press [0] and then enter your PIN code. The answering machine announces the number of messages stored in memory. You hear "To play incoming message, press zero two. For help, press one zero."
4) Press [0] then [6] to turn the answering machine On. You hear the outgoing message and a confirmation tone.
5) Hang up the phone; subsequent calls will be answered by the system.

How do you record outgoing message?

RECORD AN ANNOUNCEMENT
1 Prepare your announcement. Each
announcement can be up to 4 minutes long.
2 Press A.
3 Press and release S until you see
the letter of the announcement you want
to record (A, B, or O).
4 Press R. Begin speaking after you
hear the beep. Speak in a normal tone
of voice, about 9 inches from the
microphone.
5 Press S. The system plays your new
announcement. To hear the announcement
again, press P.
6 Repeat Steps 3 to 5 to record another
announcement, or press S.


To assign an announcement to play:

SELECT ANNOUNCEMENT CALLERS HEAR
1 Press and release F until the screen
displays ANNC.
2 Press and release S until the screen
displays the announcement you want
callers to hear (A, B, or O). If you
select AO, you must record an announcement,
as instructed in “Record an

Hangs up after 2 seconds into recording message

SETTING THE RINGS TO ANSWER
This setting allows you to select the number of rings before the answering system answers a call.

At idle status, hold down the volume "UP" button over two seconds to enter the ring times setting of answering. The answering system announces, "ring time two" (the default is 2).

To change the rings to answer, press and release the "PREVIOUS" button (<<) or the "NEXT" button (>>) and the answering system announces a number such as "2, 1, toll save, 9...” OR "2, 3, 4...", if you select the toll save and the digit LED light shows a “γ”, the answering system announces “toll save”.

After choosing a number, press the “PLAY/STOP” button one time to store the rings to answer, and the answering system confirms the setting and returns to the idle status.

NOTE: when the machine fails to operate properly, just unplug the power for 10 seconds, and redo the settings.

You must record your announcements (A, b,C and RO) one at a time.

1 Select the announcement you wish to record.

2 Press and hold "ANNC/SKIP". When the system beeps, speak toward the microphone normally, from about nine inches away.

3 To stop recording, release "ANNC/SKIP". The system automatically plays back your announcement.

To review your announcement, press and release "ANNC/SKIP".

To erase your announcement and return to the pre-recorded announcement press "DELETE" while your announcement is playing.

Would like to record greeting

Make sure the answering system is ON. 2. Press and hold the announce button on the base while you record the announcement. 3. Begin speaking after you hear the beep. 4. Release the button after you finish your announcement. If you choose not to record an outgoing announcement, the default announcement plays. To return to the default announcement after you have recorded your personal announcement, press the delete button on the base while playing the announcement, or press the announce button and release it when you hear the beep.
