The machine was working fine however it just stopped pulling/gliding the material through ??

Hi Jodyk...Remove your flatbed so you can access your bobbin area. Open the cover of the bobbin area. The shiny/bright components consist of the Bobbin, which snaps into the Shuttle Hook, which is contained in the Race. Immediately right of the Race is a pewter/matte silver colored lever. Press the lower portion of the lever to raise the Feed Dogs. Pressing the upper portion drops the Feed Dogs, and is commonly used to accomplish free-hand applique work......good luck my friend.
SOURCE: m machine stopped working properly. The lower
bunching lower thread is actually the upper thread not having enough tension due to mis-threading or wrong tension setting
SOURCE: When sewing on my machine, the stitches look fine
Please make sure your upper thread is threaded correctly, more importantly it sounds like there may be a build up of lint or dirt in between the upper tension. Prise the discs apart and remove any lint and make sure when you thread the machine that the needle thread goes right in between the tension discs and does not just sit on the outside of them. Hope this helps you.
Testimonial: "After cleaning between the disks and making sure that I had it threaded into the right disks, it sews perfectly again. Thanks. "
SOURCE: Thread is knotting up on bottom of fabric causing it to stop
1.check the needle & see if it's bent--if so replace
2.lay the needle on a flat surface & roll the needle over if it doesn't roll true replace
3.check for blunt needle-if needle makes a popping sound when needle penetrates fabric
4.needle is not all way up in holder
on my mechanical sewing machine sometimes the threads come off the take up lever, that causes the thread to bunch up under something I'm working on
also check thread in bobbin

Call Singer at 1-800-4singer and ask Singer's excellent customer service. They can steer you right. One, thing you can try is unthreading your machine completely and rethreading top and bobbin. Check your needle, change if you have had it there for a few projects. Make sure your feed dogs are up and that your stitch length is not set at zero. At least you will have tried all of the easy stuff when you call them. Let me know how you make out, I hope it is really not serious, Good luck
