Not sure why this has happened in a top loader but if its less than a month old call the shop you purchased from , they should still be liable for repair or replacement .any older call the manufacturer for repair.

I believe the belt is loose from the drum. During the spin cycle the drum vibrates very hard and makes a lot of noice. Can I fix this.

Most front load washers don't use a belt.
The washer making a load noise in spin is most likely a bad rear bearing and a big job and expensive. If you want more info send me the model number.

My front loading Electrolux washer is vibrating during the spin cycle--so much so that it shakes the floor. The machine is level and sitting firmly on its drawer

there are 2 shocker on the drum like on a vehicle, these dampen the drum when spinning, when they stick or become damaged in any way the drum moves more. this makes the washer unstable and vibrate. also but more pressure on the springs that keep the drum up, they are easy to change, access to the springs is at the top the sockers are at the bottom.

Why does my washing machine make a load noise on the last 6 minutes of the spin cycle..especially when I have bed linens in.

It is not unusual for a machine to make a lot of noise and jump about when washing sheets as they can sit out of ballance in the drum. That is why the drum turns to and fro and short spins trying to balance the wash. If how ever the noise is rumbling like a big lorry going by, then I'm afraid it sounds like your drum bearings have gone. Replace bearings by an engineer or replace machine either is expensive.

Washer jumps and vibrates and makes extreme noise

Is this a new machine that you purchased and installed yourself? Or is this a machine that has worked properly and is now displaying this problem? If new, it sounds as though you may have not removed the shipping bolts that secure the drum. This would prevent the drum's suspension system from being able to absorb vibration during the spin cycle and cause the vibration to transmit to the machine's outer shell. If the machine is older, then the drum suspension system itself may need repairs.

Violent spin cycle on the Frigidare front-loading washer

I assume you bought it new, so on that basis, did you remove the transit packing materials inside the machine ?

Front loading washing machine normal design is for the drum assembly to be supported by two or more springs at the top, and two dampers at the bottom. This allows the drum to move in a controlled fashion and also minimises vibration, particularly during spinning.
When the machines are shipped from the factory, transit packaging is put inside the machine to ensure that any shocks to the machine during transit dont damage the springs or dampers. This must be removed before use otherwise you get pretty much the symptoms you describe.

The manual that cam with it will show you how to remove the transit packaging. In such a short time I suspect you wont have suffered any damage, but take the transit packaging out as soon as possible.

MAYTAG Wahing machine model MAV6000AWQ

I believe your machine is equipped with a "snubber plate" under the transmission. A lot of Maytag top-loaders are. This is a white teflon ring that is used as the wash tub and transmission support and assists in dampening vibrations during the spin cycles. It's located on the inside case of the machine under your transmission. When the snubber goes bad they generally start to squeak. They cannot be lubricated and must be replaced. If you try to oil them, they will eventually disintegrate. The snubber costs less than $10 to purchase. I hope this helps.
