SOURCE: Paper jam on HP officejet 6500

Try This :
Connect the printer directly to the wall outlet ; not through any Power strip
Then Unplug the Power cable from the back of the printer
Keep on tapping the power cable for next 30 seconds
Plug in back the power cable;
Open the rear access door and you will get to see some rollers
Clean the rollers with a Lint free cloth Moistened with some distilled water
Try to do a copy if still it doesn works
Then Unplug the Power cable from the back of the printer
With one hand press and hold down the (#) and the (6) button and with the other hand plug in back the power cable ; it will do a Semifull reset on the printer; This will take some time ; Follow the instruction on the screen;
If still it doesn't work then you need to contact HP ;
The toll free no. for HP would be : 1-800-474-6836
They will replace the printer for you free of cost (No Charge if the printer is in warranty i.e within 1 yr of purchase)

SOURCE: Hp Officejet 6310 All-in-one paper jam

I was getting a paper jam error constantly with no paper jam. The solution I found was:
1 open lid to expose cartridge area
2 push power button to power off
3 allow printer to shut down- cartriges will park on the left side.
4 I had a gob of black ink residue under where the cartridges normally are. I gently cleaned this best I could with a screwdriver then several paper towells and iso alcohol. Under the cartrige area is a black plastic tray which can slide forward. I cleaned best I could under that as well.
5 close lid and power up and it now works perfectly!

This is _NOT_ a problem that you can fix by yourself.

Take the printer to the local HP Service Center, and get them to fix the 'CARTRIDGE JAM' problem.

Turn the printer off.
Disconnect the AC power.
Disconnect the "data" cable from the computer.
Reconnect the AC power.
Turn the printer on.

This error message is displayed by the printer when paper is jammed in one or more locations. In such a case, users are recommended to remove the jammed paper from the specified location. The entire paper path must be checked for any pieces of paper. To stop the message, open and close the top most cover of the printer. Lastly, verify the flags and the sensors. If the problem persists, the cause of the error message could be a broken sensor or sensor lever.

THE PRINTERS MANUFACTURED BY HP ARE HAVING THIS PROBLEM IN COMMON ALL THE WAY. WE SHOULD TAKE FOLLOWING PRISCPRIPTIONS WHILE RUNNING THESE PRINTERS

1. LOAD PAPERS AT SOME DISTANCE FROM THE PAPER LIFTER THAT MEANS KEEP THE PAPERS SOMEWHAT BEHING YOU KEEP THEM
2. WHEN THE PRINTERS ARE OLD THEM GET THEIR PAPER LIFTER CHECKED AND TRY TO PRINT ONE PAPER AT A TIME.

Hp 4355 all in one

The paper movement mechanism may have some problem.
If not so the paper movement sensor in the inner part of left side is having the problem.
The timing wheel may be out of alignment or the sensors may have dust over them....
