Water pressure is low in bath and kitchen - American Standard Home

From what are you experiencing low water flow?
is it from an outdoor faucet?
indoor? Kitchen or bath?
bathtub or shower?
or do you have some other kind of spigot that is low flow?
Has it always been low flow?
Or, did it just start showing this symptom?
Is Low flow present at all faucets? Or just the one?
many questions... Because you were not specific! We would like to help, but we can help you better to get to a solution when the questions are not so basic!
If you have always had low water flow, throughout, then your supply is restricted at the main. If just one termination point, then it is possible the restriction is right there at that faucet,

Power showers have a minimum working water pressure required to operate. It won't work when too low to prevent scalding or overheating. You can wait until the pressure is back up or bath with a friend?

Sounds like you have a low water pressure problem. Have the city come out to do a water pressure test, should be around 80 psi for good flow to all fixtures.

You have low pressure connect cold supply to mains

You need to have the flow switch looked at. The low flow of the water to the lavs and the kitchen sink, they all have as small demand next to t bath or shower,

One thing you could try is to remove the aerator at the end of the spout on the faucet, Turn water on and see if pressure is any better. If so the aerator is got something in it restricting the flow.
You also can remove the dime shaped flat in the aerator to increase water flow. It looks like a dime with a hole about 1/8" in center to restrict the flow to about 1.6 gpm. Remove it and reinstall aerator and check water flow

Most of the times when cold and hot side of faucet.It would be the first thin to check being you have good water pressure at other faucets. They catch debris and the flow slows down from the faucet's. Check out supply lines and faucet for a blockage if this doesn't take care of the problem.

You need to have an higher head of water on the tank that feeds the cylinder that the immersion heater is fitted to. Put the tank on a framework say 3 foot above its present level.

It could be back flowing into the hot water heater tank which is not full because of the leak. Even though the valve is closed on the cold water entry side, there is probably no valve on the exit side. That is how it is returning to the tank.

can you check some other source of hot water? if the pressure there is ok?..if it is, then the problem is on the new tap that you fitted.
