SOURCE: Bosch Washer WFK 2401

leaks could be from anywhere. remove the top and back cover, put on a cycle and try to trace where leak is. sorry if this is not very helpful. water in filter should not smell. this may be due to using liquid detergent which causes a smell like drains if used over a period. put on a boil wash and revert to using powder

SOURCE: installing carbon brushes on Bosch WFK 2401

Remove rear panel of washer.
Remove drive belt.
Unscrew the 2 bolts that hold motor to tub back.
Remove motor plug
Lever notor back with a screwdriver or similar, keeping a firm hold on motor.and remove motor
At the rear end of motor away from pulley you will see the brushes and the armature.
Remove brushes, and if there is less than 4 or 5mm of carbon left, then replace them.
Lightly clean the armature with emery cloth.
Refit in reverse order. Test.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

SOURCE: Bosch clothes washer model WFK 2401 with error

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

Based on your description it sounds like a faulty door lock mechanism. As you may or may not already know the 06 error code for the WFK2401 Bosch washer indicates an error in the lock has been detected.

This is from the Bosch service tips I have, so you should be able to check it with this info...

macmarkus_185.jpg

I also have this available to you in "pdf" and I can send you if you want to provide an email address since the "pdf" cannot be attached or sent via these post's.

You can also run a self diagnostic/test program by following these steps I've laid out, then let me know what you find...I suspect a faulty lock as I alluded to though.

To enter test program for WFK 2401 washers:

1) Set cycle knob to any "X" (reset) position

2) Press and hold Pre-Wash and Start buttons at the same time. While still holding Pre-Wash and Start buttons, turn unit on by pressing On/Off button.

3) Keep holding Pre-Wash and Start buttons (only) until digital display comes on (~ 5 seconds).

**HINT: Turning washer off at any time will end test program**

When test program has been entered:

Start light will flash

Digital display will show 00 for no faults or will show fault codes below:

Let me know what you find as I said or if you require further assistance. Thanks for choosing FixYa for your repair inquiry and good luck

please rate the solution I provided accordingly.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

I have a Bosch washer model WFK 2401 and I need a new pressure switch. The repair company I'm dealing with says that they can't get the part from Bosch any longer. Do you have any suggestions for...

Hi,

We own a Bosch- probably nearly 20 years old. I manged to get the parts I needed- but we live in France and I buy on-line from the UK!
I would go onto the Bosch site. You will probably find spares suppliers from which to inquire. Also I'm sure you could query the Bosch site directly.
I'm not criticizing your repair company but I will be very surprised if the part was not available from somewhere.

Good luck,
