The large hand is the chronograph (stopwatch) hand and only moves with the stopwatch.

SOURCE: Stop watch hand

You have to reset your watch. Pull out crown to first click and try to move stop watch hand by pressing one of the pushbuttons. If this do not work, push the crown back in. Now pull out crown fully tto the second click and try to manipulate with pushbuttons again.
After resetting stop watch hand to 0 push the crown in completely.
Job done.

SOURCE: Hands of watch out of synch

My watch just did the same thing. I unscrewd the back off as to change the battery then the pulled up gently on the insides (on the opposite side of the time ajusting knob) just enough to allow a staight pin to slip between the glass then I advanced the adjusting knob while holding back the hour hand untill it was properly aligned.

Tag carrera automatic stops at 12

It sounds like your Tag Carrera automatic watch may be experiencing an issue with the automatic winding mechanism. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Make sure that the watch is fully wound. If the watch is not fully wound, it may not have enough power to keep running.
  2. Check the balance wheel and pallet fork for any debris or obstruction that could be preventing the watch from running.
  3. Inspect the winding rotor for any signs of damage or malfunction. The winding rotor may need to be replaced if it is not functioning properly.
  4. Check the control panel for any error codes or messages that may indicate the cause of the issue.

Showing 6ae on my Tissot T touch. Also cannot synch properly

Press the center button marked "T". The watch should beep once;- Touch the center of the touch-sensitive face until 24H Cm appears in the digital LCD display;
- Press and hold the center button marked "T" for approx. 5 seconds. The watch will beep once and then again a second time, after 5 seconds have passed. The digital LCD display should now read SYNCHRO;
- Press the upper button marked "+" to move the minute hand until it is positioned exactly at 12:00;
- Press the lower button marked "-" to move the hour hand until it is also positioned exactly at 12:00;
- When both hands are aligned together and pointing directly at 12:00, press the center button marked "T" to save your settings.
- Your watch is now synchronized, so no expensive repair work is required!

I have a police chronograph watch about a year old if that and the chronograph dials have reset themselves at random points does anyone know why and if so is there a fix? many thanks david

hi,
all you need to do is pull the centre bezel out (to where you adjust the time) and by pressing the top button the chronograph needle will move round. Once it is the correct place simply push the centre bezel back in.

Hope this helps.

I have a Aerospace model watch and am having difficulty in adjusting the digital time to be equal to the minute and hour hand time.

Its best to change on the hour.Stop your watch so that the second hand is pointing to 12.
Move the hands to the time i.e 10am then advance the minute hand 5 mins past the hour, then turn it back to 10am, when the time comes push set and your hands are set.
I think you might have not moved the minute hand forward 5 mins and back.

You can now set your digital time from your hands setting.

Second hand stopped moving

If the hour and minute hands have also stopped, then the watch needs a new battery (if it is electric), or needs to be wound (if it is mechanical or automatic-mechanical).

If the hour and minute hands are still functioning and telling the correct time, then the second hand has become loose and needs to be re-attached. A watch repair shop can do this for you and it should not cost much.
