Dark photo I take a picture with the flash on and it is very dark. I haven't used the camera for about a month and a half. when I used it last, it was working fine. now it takes photos normally (with the flash), but the pictures are barely visible. How do I get it back to taking the normal, brightly lit pictures?

Check your settings, is it still on Auto or have you accidentally changed the settings to manual settings.

Check your flash modes, it may have slipped into slow sync.

SOURCE: Indoor photos are too dark and skin tones orange-ish

I have the same problem at my church with the indoor lighting on my camera. I'm able to get it work by putting the whole thing on manual and adjusting the lighting settings that way.

It seems problem with CCD Imager that does not convert image to electronic signal for further circuit process. CCD Imager requires replacement.
Sony will fix DSC-T1 free of cost for same problem as per announced scheme.

All photos suddenly too dark, even using flash.

If you are sure you are in automatic mode, the green camera logo on the top dial, your pictures have to be correct.
The exposure compensation should not be available in automatic, so that can't be the reason. (if you are in automatic)
The only thing you could look for, is the exposure metering. There you can chose 3 modes, and I do advise to chose Multi-pattern (should be default) because then not only the centre is measured.
If the pictures stay too dark, while in automatic and Multi-pattern, i think your camera is defect. It has nothing to do with the battery. If the battery voltage drops beneath a certain point the camera will stop completely and not work half.

Dark pictures

Check Exposure compensation. If you have a negative number all photos can be dark with flash or no flash.

Nikon D60 is suddenly taking very dark pictures

I have had "dark pictures" from each of my Nikon DSLR (D70, D80, D200, D300) cameras usually when taking pictures from a tripod and/or the self timer. Situations where you take your eye away from the viewfinder which allows stray light to enter thru the viewfinder and throw the auto exposure way off. Not sure if this is what is happening to you.

Pictures to dark at night

no there isn,t.but these cameras do not have enough flash to take great pictures at night, for one you cant be to far away, two you have to have a subject in range of the flash, other wise all you get is darkness.but at the most 10ft is the farthest you can go and still get a great shot at dark.also use auto mode when taking pictures, because it adjusts to light-dark etc.i know this because i have the same camera and its awesome, plus im a photo technician and ran a photo lab for 3years selling digital cameras. good luck, hope i helped
