It sounds like the cd tray has been forced shut and has been damaged when you got the CD's out. If it was me I would of unscrewed the casing and retrieved the CD's that way instead of trying to force the try open which I'm assuming you have done.

It could just be a simple matter of just slightly adjusting the internal CD mechanism so that it can open and close properly without jamming. The error message comes up because the tray cant eject properly. The worse case scenario is that the CD mechanisam would need to be replaced. Not a hard job for a service engineer, if you dont fancy taking the thing apart yourself then a service centre is your best bet.

DVD/CD won't open...when I push the open/close button it says it is opening but nothing happens....have turned it off for a while and turned it back on - still nothing

if the disc inside has jammed or there is any damage to the mech for opening this can cause the jam you can open it manually by getting a paper clip ot long needle and look to the front panel just below the draw htere is a small hole insert the paperclip end into this and push the the pin in it should go a way in this will actuat a release lever the tray shoul open for you you can check the inside mech after this it may need some grease on the draw runner. Good Luck A

Why doesnt the cd/dvd stay in the VALOR player?

The dvd drive coud be jamming on something inside, or the dvd tray belt could be slipping or the disk could be jamming on something inside which is preventing the draw from sliding all the way in.

I have an denon ud m50 multi cd player and reciever some one tried to put more than 1 cd in the same tray and it now will not accept any so its a mechanical problem can this be fixed and if possible...

Yes this is fixable by rebuilding the loading mechanism. As long as the mechanism is just jammed and no parts are broken, this should only cost the labor charge at a local service shop. I have done a number of these in the past and while not the simplest of mechanisms, it is fairly straightforward.

Cannot get the cd to eject the disc

in under or below the cd tray is a small hole, a paper clip straightened out can be inserted to release the latches and draw out the tray, many times it is just stuck, less often it is damaged, and will jam again

DENON UD M50 CD PLAYER no longer works

Maybe you accidentally break some contact(s), on display or somewhere else. If that is the problem, soldering iron should solve that. Look for any loosen wires or detached contacts.
