Bluray BD-6900 turns and is stuck on Load. No menu, nothing on screen, just the word LOAD displayed

Stuck on load. Will turn on/off. DVD will open and close. Otherwise, just reads LOAD on front of box and nothing functions.

    Hello
I think that you can insert and eject the disc now, with the front panel controls of the set. If so, just insert a lens cleaning disc. It will ply by itsef in the player.

  1. pressing and holding power button,
  2. unplugging unit for a few minutes to allow it to cool off, some units have a thermal overload circuit to prevent burnouts.
  3. their may be a small pin hole to sick the head of a pin in and push the cd rom eject button, usualy on the front face plate of the cd rom drive. the unit is lockd up by a error reading the disk properly and buffering the data, this is a common issue with dirty disks. bad values can cause many seek isues to arise.

SOURCE: I HAVE A BLURAY BD

First of all, here is the main ONLINE SUPPORT page for your model:

http://www.samsung.com/us/video/blu-ray-dvd/BD-C6900/XAA

And here is a direct link to the ONLINE USER'S MANUAL for that model:

http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/201107/20110704101835460/01945A-BD-C6900-XAA-ENG-BM-1006.pdf

To view the Support Page or the Owner's Manual with Operating Instructions just use your mouse to click on the link, which is the underlined and highlighted text just above. This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information at the website indicated and the contents of the Owner's Manual.

You may need ADOBE READER installed on your computer to read PDF documents.
You can download this free at WWW.ADOBE.COM if necessary.
Click on the DOWNLOAD ADOBE READER button on right side of the ADOBE home page when you get there, then follow the onscreen instructions to install the software on your computer.

See page 14 of the manual for details regarding the region code assigned to your DVD player.
If you bought a brand new DVD player in the USA and it is locked to REGION 4 instead of REGION 1 as normal, then just return it to your place of purchase and exchange it for a correctly programmed device. This device can only play DVDs from the assigned region. There are some region code hacks listed online for this device, but none of them appear to work properly for conversion to region 1. See the following link:

http://www.avforums.com/forums/blu-ray-dvd-player-multiregion-hacks/1272750-req-hack-samsung-bd-c6900.html

Please comment back here to this page if you have any details to add, have any questions, have difficulty accessing the links, or just require further general assistance and I will respond as soon as I see it.

I hope that was helpful to you, good luck and take care.

Joe.

Some kind of mechanical problem in the loading mechanism--if possible try to look inside the unit to see if something else is jammed in the mechanism that does not belong there preventing eject etc.
