Re: The snap which I am clicking, it is having a round...
There is a lens pen you can purchase for just a couple of $$.. Get on and give your lens a good cleaning...possible you have finger prints or other type of film on your lens... If you don't have a lens cap for camera you should get one ..this will prevent future problems ...

Canon will resolve this problem free of cost as per announced Canon CCD Advisory. Your Canon A95 has problem with CCD Imager and this part will be replaced by Canon Support free of cost. Click above said web link to get details. Have a nice day.
Which mode are you shooting in? You may have adjusted the exposure compensation so everything is washed out.
Whatever the cause, your images are overexposed. Try shooting in auto and the camera should take over the settings, but if you are in other modes, check your shutter speed, aperture, & ISO also. These are all things that can cause too much light and wash the picture out/OVEREXPOSE.
If you have any other questions or can give me more details, just ask!
Two things to try, 1) The release button is a two stage process. Pushing the release button 1/2 way allows the camera to focus on the subject. It needs a few milli-seconds to do this. A full depress releases the shutter, but it you don't allow the camera to focus, things get messed up.
2) Holding a camera of this type with outstretched arms is a sure way to get poor shots. I use my Fuji S5000 with the viewfinder rather than the LCD display for framing shots just like I was using an SLR/DSLR
First thing to try is to reset all your settings to default. It is possible to manually set the shutter time so that it stays open for a long period of time.
If that is not the problem it is also possible that your shutter is not functioning properly. Do you see any vertical or horizontal lines running across your picture? (these would be totally straight not wavy like the movement from your exposure). If you do see that it is possible that your shutter is not closing at all when you take a picture.
