Sounds like overheating.... Take the cover off, then start the computer to make sure the fan over the cpu is running also make sure the fan in the back of the computer in the power supply is running. If it's running then shut it down, get some compressed air from RadioShack ( Has No Water In It ) and Blow all the dust off the cooling fan and heatsink under the fan. Blow the dust out of the power supply. Your coputer should run like new....
Hope this helps..

When a system shuts off after about the same amount of time every time--and it can't be traced to having one particular program, it usually means it's shut down because it's getting too hot. Do you get any warnings? Can depend on chipset/settings what alerts you get. Something often overlooked is the cpu fan, if your system is a couple years old, that'd be a generally cheap/easy replacement that often fixes it. It can be very hard to tell just by looking at it if it's working normally or not. Any noise?

Dropped signal after 10 min opertation

This sounds like a thermal issue. Maybe the lcd is overdriven and getting hot. To find out if this is the case, blow cold air on the receiver while it is running. If it stays connected longer than normal under these chilly conditions, then chances are that some component is overheating and shutting off. It will be most likely a transistor on the signal receiving portion of the board. In that case, I am sure that you will need to send it in to Garmin for repair. Good Luck!

RCA 20f510td

Sounds like a thermal breakdown of a componet. it could be in the main power supply regulaor supply or even a bad capacitor in the power or sweep supply. In some cases Zener diodes can break down and change values after warm up. In some cases also bad solder connections in the highvoltage section, or the power supply can cause this problem. It is a hard call without being able to look at the set. Just a few leads on where to go first. most likly a combo unit, such as this one , would cost you more then a new one these days. Good Luck PS Please dont forget to rate this thread.
