What is a good replacement transformer for the stock plate amp on this subwoofer?

It has a horrible buzzing noise that comes from it when plugged in (not a ground issue). I'm just looking for something that can be a direct replacement or something close to it to make it work again. Or should I just put a new amp in it? Apex Jr. has some nice ones, but I would prefer to just replace the transformer due to cost issues...

Panasonic TX-P50G20B how do I fix a buzzing noise coming from the central circuit board on the back of the tv

Buzzing noises come from transformers.. use a plastic pen to push down on each transformer in turn to find which one it is, then replace it.
no end of glue or resin or anything can stop the buzzing so just replace it..
good luck !

Klh powered subwoofer model ASW10-120B... when you plug in to power... it makes a loud buzzing/humming noise

I would check the caps on the power supply. They are rather large electrolytic capacitors that will look like they burst and/or leaking. When these die, the caps ground and the sub will make a loud buzzing sound. If you are handy with a soldering iron you can replace them yourself. Replace them with the same voltage or a little bigger and same with the size.

If the cap. says 16v 4700pF on it, for example, a 20v 5300pF or a 16v 6200mF cap. will work for this application.

My subwoofer constantly makes a steady intermittent buzz sound while plugged in, even while powered off.

If it has a 3 prong plug, try a 3 prong adaptor - where only 2 prongs are plugged in. Sub's should not be grounded. If it still makes a hum noise, the amp circuitry may be compromised. Replace the amp with an equal at www.partsexpress.com

Hi, I get a buzzing sound coming from my s8.3 when it's plugged into the power outlet. No other cable are connected, it's only plugged into power outlet. Any suggestions? thank you!

I also had a severe hum or buzz that was NOT a ground fault loop issue or any other such problem.

Hummed to the point that reading in the family room was annoying !

I took my amp to a Very Qualified shop and the technician simply insulated the transformer 40.00 usd

After about 2 weeks of use, the microwave began to make a horrible buzzing noise from the "box" in the upper right hand corner on the back. It also smelled horrible. It then proceeded to stop working...

Two weeks? This is a warranty problem. The buzzing noise was probably either from high-voltage arcing or an overloaded transformer trying to drive a shorted component. The smell is from something electrical getting fried. Remember it; the next time you smell it, you'll know to pull the plug.

Loud buzzing from Kef PSW1000 Subwoofer

yes. A good idea. Kill power to the sub, then unplug and remove everything from the sub. go ahead and plug it in again and check for buzzzz.
That is test one. if you have buzz still, its the sub assembly. bad luck, but not impossible. If the buzz is gone its one of the signals to the sub. They can produce a buzzz without any signal coming from your stereo equipment. Replace the feed line, enjoy! BTW...Kef sure does sound clean. good choice.

Buzz in amplifier power transformer. The amp is a Marantz Model 240. It functions perfectly well, and there's no noise from it in the speakers, but the transformer buzzes whenever the unit is plugged in...

All transformers buzz though you cannot hear it normally. The big transformers on power lines like to buzz for all to hear. When a transformer in a stereo amp gets old and deteriorates or gets hot and  expands the coils, melts the coil varnish and epoxy coatings then rattles at 60 times per second.    You can ignore it or change the transformer. There are too many layers of windings to try to stick anything in there.  Disconnecting a transformer results in inductive kickback -that's not money. It's a big, whopping electrical gotcha! Be careful! Good luck, Steve Medley

Subwoofer has a constant vibrating tone that will not go away

I suspect that what you are hearing is the 60 cps of the mains. If the humming sound is coming the subwoofer itself, then it is possible that you have a defective/leaky capacitor in the power supply section of the subwoofer. In the subwoofer, if the buzzing sound is coming from anywhere else other than the speaker itself, then it is possible that you have a loose transformer again in the power supply. Unless you are comfortable working with testers and soldering irons, I would suggest an electronics technician who should be able to diagnose and fix it for you.
